Had an awesome time!! Everything was great! Weather was perfect, did early mornings from 7-11a and MK was very uncrowded. Mk opened at 7 all week). Right as we were leaving it was a mess!! Lots of people last week but ya snooze, ya loose was our motto!! Turtle talk was the highlight for my boys, it is a must see!! Conc. staff were very helpful with wet tickets from TL . I was desperate for a glow thingy for my son one night but did not have cash and a manager of a store heard me telling my son why we could not get it and he pulled the toy off the cart and said"enjoy the night". So So nice. Also conc. told us that in 6 months sugarloaf would be the same conc. service as the main building. Had a first floor room which turned out to be great! Loved the food and the fancy coffee maker thingy and everything about that place!
Thanks for all the great advice from here. It made our vacation, as usual...

So glad you had a wonderful time. I love MK in the early morning. You get everything done and you're on your way back to the resort just as the park starts getting crowded.

Many have asked about the soda situation. Was there any available under the drink cabinet or did you have ask for them specifically?

That's funny the comment the CM made about SugarLoaf having the same service as the main building in 6 months. Those are the same rumors that guests were bringing back a year ago and it always seems to be "in 6 months". I'm guessing if it ever does happen, we'll see a big increase in price then as it won't be considered "light" concierge any longer. That's too bad. I liked the SugarLoaf option when it just wasn't in our budget to stay in the main building.

there were plenty of sodas out all the time! They were not there over the summer last year. Very funny about changing service over to full. Although I prefere SL over the main builing most of the time. ANd a ground floor room was great!

Glad you had such a great trip. :sunny:

What a sweet story about the glow toy for your son! :flower:

I think that the addition of soda pop is a nice one in Sugar Loaf.

Were you on the marina or courtyard side?

we overlooked the pool. 3 doors down from the lobby. we thought it would be loud but we never heard any noise. The hotel was completely booked we heard as well. I never got any type of feeling that the hotel was stuffy or stuck up. People there could not have been nicer.

Arewealmostthere?, didn't it seem super busy this weekend to you? We were in Boca Chica, lagoon side, Roberta, the CM at check in, gave us a choice of two rooms, had us go look at the first one, see if we liked the view, then call her. In the time it took us to get to the room and unlock the door she was calling to get our opinion, she already had another family needing a room! I agree about the get in/get out mentality. We went to MK Sat. morning as soon as the storm passed over, walked onto Space Mountain, Buzz, Peter Pan, etc. By 10:30, as the clouds disappeared we were fighting the crowd to get up MainStreet and out to EPCOT, which was a major grid lock. It took us till Monday to get onto Test Track, never did catch the promised soft openings of Soarin' that the monorail attendent told us about. Were too tired to go back in the evenings to MK, watched Wishes each night from the balcony instead. I think this was the busiest that I have ever seen it! Can't wait to see what June is like...............

this past sat am at MK was the best wasn't it?? The rain and the cold kept many people away. we were there at 7am and rode everything twice with no wait at all. about 11 when we left for the boat to get back we were shocked at the people. Definately worth dragging out of bed to ride everthing like that...we watched every night from Gasparillas...It was just great!!

Thanks for the SL trip report. I'm glad you had a great time.

I wonder if the SL upgrade will ever come to fruition. We're doing RPC because I think it will be nice during Dec. with all of the Christmas decorations. I would like to try SL at some point. Full service would help me try it sooner.
