Just got back from Disneyland today (Wed. Aug. 14). My dh and I had a great time due to the tips people gave us. We were in the parade the first day so we both have collector pins. We saw "Blast " twice, once with priority seating (we were in the front row).

How were the crowds?

I might be going in the next couple of weeks....

I remember waiting for 1+ hrs on some ride about 5 years ago when I last visited DL during the summer.

I've been to WDW the last 2 years in early Dec, so I'm used to short wait times...LOL.

It was my first time so I can't make a comparison. If you go early in the morning, it was less crowded. The only thing we waited for a long time was the show "Blast". That was 1 hour because we wanted good seats. Most of the rest of the things we did were about 15 min.

That's about the time of year I was there last year. I used FP as much as possible, hit the major rides early (and late), and never had to wait more than 20 minutes for anything.

Have a great trip :)

When we were there a few weeks ago, very long lines formed at Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain (over 2 hours!) , the Matterhorn and Soarin' with fairly long lines at It's A Small World, the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and that mouse ride in DCA. We didn't try the other two mountains.

FastPass was super because we mostly used it for Indiana Jones which we all really loved! :teeth:

I was there Aug 7 - 14. There were pretty sizeable lines for everything at DL after 11 AM. Splash Mountain was the worst with times up to two hours. My advice is to arrive early and Fast Pass rides with long wait times. Also, we find that wait times on many of the rides at CA were ten minutes after 8:30 in the evening - right around parade time. Soaring of course had lines all during the evening. Also, if you see build ups at CA and can do it, the Single Rider option is a good way to get on Soaring and Grizzly Peaks quickly without waiting for more than 10 minutes during peak times.

Thank you for all your feedback on the wait times and crowds...

Just after I booked my hotel via Priceline on Sat. evening (Aniheim Marriott $40 per night) for our stay this week, my wife started having real bad stomach pains.

Well turns out she had Gall Stones so they removed her Gall Bladder last night...she is doing well and it's nice I have all this week off to help her.

The hotel won't go to waste as my sister lives in Southern CA and will be using the room this up coming weekend to relax and use the pool(s).

Thank You again,
Doug
