We have just returned from a great week at BCV in room #558. It is a 1-bedroom facing the quiet pool, right next to the mysterious "triangle" balcony to no-where. We arrived on Saturday, 5/10 at about noon and the room was ready for check-in (yea) and we headed right up. The room was just what we expected and even had a couple of extra towels (perhaps I shouldnt mention that, dont want to get any of the mousekeepers in trouble.)
The only issue with the room was none of the locks on the bathroom doors worked!
One was actually missing. So when our toddler was looking for Dad on the throne, he had no problem finding him! We just dealt with it, didnt try to call anyone to fix.
One downer on the view was that since we were on the 5th floor, we had a great view of the parking lot as well as the quiet pool. No biggie, I just didnt look! We also had a double balcony with 2 sets of chairs and tables. It also had a high-solid balcony wall, not the slatted ones, so our 2-year old had no chance of reaching the edge (unless he was picked up and loved the view too!)
Crowds were higher during the weekend, but Monday afternoon on, it just cleared out. We had little wait times in the parks and had no problems getting chairs by SAB. We were at SAB every afternoon and enjoyed every minute.
Also, we were able to get into Cape May without any priority seating time for dinner. Too bad that Rip Tide Lounge only serves breakfast now, no longer a full service bar in the afternoon/evening. A drink sure goes down well when waiting for your table.
If there are any other questions, please feel free to ask!
