We just got back last friday from 8 days at wonderful world of disney. We stayed at asmo the whole time and had an ausome time!! This was our first extended on-site trip, my ds' first trip ever. Everything was great! The crowds were non-existent--no waits. The buses were great and so easy. They did cute things w/ds stuffed toys everyday....they watched tv a couple of days, they waited in the window for us.

We got to stay in the buzz building #10 which was great, my son's favorite!! We had the perfect spot for the bus stop.

If you have any questions, ask away!

WELCOME BACK !!!!!!!

I HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF BOOKING MY FEB. 2004 TRIP. I CHOOSE ASMO AS WELL. CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH BUILDING IS THE CLOSEST TO THE FOOD COURT AND BUS STOP. ALSO, I HEAR EVERYONE SAYING HOW SMALL THE ROOMS ARE. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION? IS IT OK FOR 2 ADULTS?

THANKS!!!!

Ok we were in the buzz building #10 in room 930 on the top floor. We had a great spot for the bus. We were about 4 rooms away from the steps and right at the bottom of the steps there was a sidewalk that lead to the front of the main building where all the stops were. It was so easy and fast!!

The rooms were the same size as a regular hotel room. We had a dresser w/six drawers which was big enough for 3 peoples clothes. We each had 2 drawers each, enough hangers which I think you could request more. There was a small table w/2 chairs. Definitely big enough for 2 people. We had 2 adults and our 3 yr old. We didnt even collapse his stroller, just parked it right by the table. They actually let you take the towels to the pool so you could get more of those easily. I have been to so many hotels where they dont want the towels any where near the pool. this building was pretty close the food court which is in the main building. You could take the same path, but we always seemed to take the elevator bc ds wanted to walk thru andy's room (courtyard). Herbie building seemed the farthest away from everything to me, also mighty ducks--but I have read that people could go to all star music for the buses.

Have a great time!!!

THANKS FOR THE INFO!!!!!

CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE FOOD COURT? CROWDED? FOOD? HOURS? PRICES?

THANKS,

LORI

Well the food court seemed most crowded at breakfast time, but we only ate their once. We ate breakfast in our room. For lunch/dinner they had 4 different counters to order from. pizza/pasta/hot subs --5.99-7.99 or so $16 for whole pizza-good!
baked chicken/turkey dinner/taco salad--7.99-9.99
hamburger/chicken/quesadillas/ 5.99- 7.99
ice cream/shakes/pie/cake 1.99--up

They also had coolers with ready made sandwiches and fruit cups, pudding cups, cookies, brownies---bagels and bread and muffins in the morning.

We ate at the food court several times and it was good everytime. We did buy the refillable mugs and filled those up every morning and threw it in the stroller at the parks.

Those prices aren't to bad especially when your "on the run". You mentioned breakfast time being the most crowded, did you bring your food back to the room?

What about late night munchies after a long day in the park or at Pleasure Island. Is the food court open?

Do you know if there is a sidewalk from the Woody bldg to the bus stops also, or is it only at the Buzz bldg?

and had four adults in one room......and our daughter husband and two kids in the next room to us.......we were not in each others way at all.....only difference is no double sinks........we lived without it.....and no hot tub in the swimming area.......we again lived without it......the food court has always been fantastic......one night two years ago they had a prime rib dinner with potatoes and green beans for 10.99......to me not a bad meal......the chicken ceasar salad is awesome too......

I will be staying in a room with my mom and my two sons, ages 11 and 14. I will be bringing a twin size air mattress for my 14 year old. Is there enough room to put this on the floor somewhere? Last time we stayed at CBR and rented a cot at around 15.00 a night. I am hoping to be able to use the air mattress. What do you think?

LAH--the food ct was open until 12 am. The food ct was most crowded at breakfast, but by no means full. We actually had gone to the grocery store so we bought stuff there for breakfast...my son is a slow starter in the morning so it was easier to give him a poptart while he watched cartoons.

NAVYDOTZ---The woody bldg is across the ct yard from the buzz bldg so it would probably be faster just to go thru the ct yard and by the pool to the main bldg--still not that far.

CHIP126---I think the air mattress would be a tight fit, but you could probably push one bed next to the wall and put it there?????

Have a great time all!! I wish I was waiting to go still instead of back

We stayed at Music 3 years ago and I would say yes there is room for a twin air mattress. It could fit between bed and window. The door is kind of angled and at foot of beds. the only problem is he would be next to air conditioner and on floor so if he tends to get cold easily , be sure to bring or ask for extra blankets.

Exactly which buildings are "Preferred" according to WDW? I want to put in a room request before our trip but do not want to pay the extra $$$.

I have been to ASMv before and do know the layout so I dont need advice on which building. I know we want Toy Story just dont want to pay extra $$$ if it is one of the Preferred areas. I've seen on different sites that some say its the "closest" to the resort center, Fantasia only, and another that said its Fantasia, Buzz and the closer of the 2 Dalmations.

We also just returned from ASMovies - we were there from 9/7-9/13 and we were also in Buzz building 10 - room 964, so we were close to each other!!! Strangely, though, we never had anything done in the room.....no towel animals, nothing done with DSs stuffed animals. The only thing the housekeeper did was put the baby's shoes in the window. (Maybe she was new....she also neglected to give us any soap or toilet paper when we ran out.)

The preferred building that you pay extra money for is Fantasia. The Toy Story buildings were definitely very close to everything, and it looked to me that the Dalmations were also about the same distance, just in the opposite direction.

We had a GREAT time here - hope you all do too!
