Just got back from AKV what a place

It was my first stay as member and was staying as in a studio savanna for one night. I really like this place. There animals really make it top notch. I cant wait for Kitani. I almost regret buying SSR but the deal was better. I got upgraded to savvana club level but got knocked out of DVC so i was in the lodge portion .Club level is great and all that food. Has anyone else been upgraded with DVC reservations? I was wondering how special it really is. I guess ill eventully stay in a villa as im staying in BCV in Sept in a studio.

been a member since 93 and i have NEVER been upgraded with DVC.

so yes it was pretty especially!

I am here right now in a 2br value and got a parking lot view I was really hoping for a savana view. Oh well it is a beautiful place - afternoon thunderstorms right now...

Count your blessings to get a Upgrade to Club level! I am in amazement! This is such a hard reservation to get for DVC. Congratulations to you!!!

Well I consider a Studio to a normal lodge room an upgrade. If it was a Studio to a Club studio i would have been shocked.

Nice upgrade.....although i would think they would have to "upgrade" to concierge to make up for lack of "studio" ammenities.

We were moved to concierge from our savannah view back in March after a bee issue. We also had our points returned to our surprise!

I would certainly have been happy be upgraded to concierge ......but for me that would have had to happen to not get a studio. I use my microwave all the time.....the toaster comes in handy as well.

Wow!! Great upgrade. I own there but have never stayed there but I had a chance to go last month and check out AKL and I loved it! How beautiful and peaceful it is! I know some complain that it is far from everything but i think thats part of the beauty of it all!!

well i use the microwave, under the counter refrigerator, toaster - alot.

plus you have 2 beds.

a studio has one queen bed and a double sleeper sofa - nice to read books or watch the tv. Plus the BIG TV and DVD.

plus the interior stuff is definitely and upgrade from what AKL uses.

there are many rooms that WDW resorts have that I like better than studios.

Polyn Lagoon is one - anything else - forget it.
