We just got back from a long weekend at the Parks - We did MNSSHP on Friday and the Food and Wine Festival on Saturday. We also ate at the Poly (Breakfast & Dinner), WCC (lunch), Le Cellier (dinner), LTT (dinner before MNSSHP).

All in all the trip was fun - the heat this weekend was nutty - 93 on Sat when we were in EPCOT. The food lines were kind of long - but they did move fast - and we went back on Tuesday to just get dinner in Canada and the lines were much more manageable - I would recommend if you can do F&W on a week day - you will have less crowds - at least from what we saw.

MNSSHP - was fun as usuall - My DH didn't have to wait at all for Splash Mnt. and the candy lines were not too bad at all. I didn't realize the changes from last year - I haven't been on the boards much to read about it - the candy was still a great variety (No 3 muskatears, lots of raisins); the photo is not free this year, but you have more options for backgrounds and get 50% off 5x7s when you order them on line. The characters were out in force as usually - but we never stopped to see them b/c those lines were longer than the candy only lines :)

Again if anyone has any specific questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Enjoy your upcoming trips.

Hugs
Laura

Did you participate in the F&W offerings at all? If so please elaborate. I am headed there for the first time next week and am hungry for info.

We did visit various booths to try the food and drinks offered - but we didn't do any of the big events (the more $$ events). We probally tried about 10 different booths for food or beer (well my DH tried the beers I can't - pregnant :) ) But everything we tried was good. Sorry I cant help with anything else - the one piece of advice for the booths i can give is don't try the cherry wine in Poland if they still have it - tastes like Nyquil - YUK :)

Have a blast!

I'm glad you had fun and I'm looking oh sooooooooooo forward to the 31!!
I did hear that there are either 2 night parades and/or 2 sets of fireworks.
I really wanna get good castle shots and need to make sure to not be hobnobbing with the characters.
Lotsa Thanx

I know you said you were in the parks on Fri, Sat and Tues. Were you in the parks Sun and Mon? How were the crowds? We're thinking about taking a last minute trip there and we would be in the parks on Sun and Mon. We're interested in MNSSHP and F&W.

There are two parades at the MNSSHP - but only one fireworks for the night.

The fireworks are at 9.30 and the parades are at 8:15 and 10:30 p.m.

Have fun!

We didnt hit a park either of those days - we checked out of the hotel and had dinner at Ohana's on Sunday and Monday we went to the outlet store Character Connection and did some stuff around my dad's place.

Sorry I can't be of help then. Not sure what dates MNSSHP are happening - so plan that first and then hit the F&W the other day - really the lines were long in lenght but they were not that timely. We stood in the line at Greece maybe 5-10 minutes and the same with Mexico. And we tried to plan ahead - while I was in the Greece line my DH was in the Canada line getting us that stuff :)

Have a blast if you go - they are both fun events.
