Aloha Cousins!!!

Just got back from a wonderful vacation at Disney and the Polynesian from 4/26-5/3. First I want to thank everyone on these boards for all the help, but in particular a big thank you to the TIKIMAN...without his help and website we would not have enjoyed the Polynesian so much. Weather was pretty hot, temps in the mid 90's so the parks we probably even warmer so that did affect our touring plans since our two daughters (age 6 and 5, one who got an ear infection our first day) would run out of energy in the early afternoon.

This was our first trip and I'm no expert by any means but I'll try and answer any questions and try to help someone like so many helped us in our trip planning.

Just wanted to say, "Welcome back", happy you had sooo much fun.:)

Hi

We were there too the 25th to the 1st. Didn't you just love the little ducklings with their moms, the grounds were fab. We took more resort only days this time and brought home park tickets as the 90 f was a bit much for us in the parks, well not d hubby, he loved the heat. Next time a cooler month for me, I hope I can afford the poly again,

Deb.

Aloha and welcome back genetic jackhammer . Glad you enjoyed your stay. Where did you stay (longhouse? room?)

Steve

Hi Tikiman,

We stayed in Tokelau in room 3941. It was a great room with a wonderful view of the quiet pool. The volcano pool is great, went down the slide and smashed my elbow on the bottom of the pool...still not the same yet :) :)

Mousekeeping was great, the room was spotless every day, and I kept sniffing around for the smell I keep reading about and never encountered anything but the lovely scent of the lush vegetation around the resort. The baby bunnies and baby duckling were wonderful, my two DD's loved looking for them.

We really had no complaints, service was wonderful, everyone greeted us with Aloha (well mostly everyone...some just said hello) and next time we go, we are going to treat ourselves and stay concierge...the views looked great from that building, or the very least lagoon view from Tahiti.

Thanks again for all your help!!

Hi Cottontail,

Sorry, I forgot tot respond to your message previously. Glad you had a great time too....but I too wished the weather was a little cooler. Guess it was abnormally warm, and it did wear us down in the afternoons, which made heading back to the pools even more fun :bounce: :bounce:

What room, longhouse were you in???

We loved the Poly very much. Rooms were spotless, pool was beatiful lots of pillows and towels. We did the concierage and really loved it not sure it was worth the extra money but we did enjoy it very much. We were SO GLAD to be on site and on the monorail in the heat we just wilted. We actually would be at the park an hour early and be first through the gates and quickly do the rides we wanted and be out by noon for lunch. Then back in the late afternoon for dinner and more rides.

We were also very pleased with the Poly on site transportation oh and loved the Lau!:Pinkbounc :D :)
