Just got back-awesome trip, but a little diappointed in how disney handled something

Ya, there was a donk noise for DBF, I didn't see the screen but he heard the noise and turned around, he said the screen said his pass wasn't accepted but the CM didn't seen interested in checking so we just went on in. When we to DCA it did the noise like he'd just come in and all ours did the reentry noise.
 
We just returned home on Monday and had the same thing happen upon entry on our last day. My stomach sunk when I heard the CM say, sorry your PH has been used up. Ummm no it hasn't...then a CM was passing by and told the first CM to override it, they've been having problems with their system. Scary. I'm so glad we didn't have to try to prove it.
 
Wow good thing I'm not one of your girls I would have made a way bigger stink even when I was a kid. I would have said something along the lines of "not in a very magical mood today are we I want to talk to a manager NOW." but that's me. I also would have made a bigger stink about the shirt thing, there's no reason why you shouldn't have been able to pay the difference. I have issues when it comes to customer service because I work in retail and I know how employees should behave. :headache:
 
wow, you figured that they would come up with a better system if their computers are malfunctioning.
i know that we had a problem with our handstamps before, but we just told them and they let us in.
sorry your girls got screwed out of a day of disney, that was very rude of them not to just get a supervisor.
sorry your last day was not so magical as the rest.

If you heard the Bling how did you know they didn't dock the days off your pass? I'm just curious. I kind of wondered about this as well before ever posted this info. I especially wondered when they had to reissue DH's PHs. So how does one know if they aren't docking a day off your pass?

When you get to the FP machine it doesn't accept your ticket/AP, it prints up a FP that says "you do not have valid park admission please see a cast member for assistance". It happened to DBF too but it didn't bling, it did the donk noise instead, he tried to tell the CM but she wasn't listening or maybe she wasn't understanding what he was saying and she waved him thru. We went to get Indy FP and the CM there OK what the machine gave him so we could use it later but she told him to get his AP rescanned ASAP so we did, we just hopped to DCA and it worked that time.

I've never heard a donk noise! Just the bling and the wee-woo whistle (which, by the way, is the whistle I use to get DS to stop running when we're taking a walk and he's gone too far ahead of me).

Sorry I think there was some confusion. We've had the same thing happen to my DH where it blings and then we got to Indy and got the dreaded message that said we must use valid entry media to get the FP or words to that effect, and then we had to trek back to City Hall to get the FP pass thing. I was actually wondering how Mystic Path knew that a day wasn't docked off their hopper. :confused3 I would assume if you hear the bling that a day would be docked off the hopper whether you get the error message for FPs or not. (Maybe I'm wrong, but I am confused about this!) :lmao: I haven't had the FP message thing happen to us while using our APs yet. Knock wood...
 
Oh man, my wording was a bit confusing wasn't it? lol The FP machine doesn't make noise, at the gate there was a weird donk noise when the CM scanned DBF's AP, that's what I was saying...sorry! That's why I need to proofread before posting! lol
