Lets see I'm going to make it short and sweet,
Friday night was Wilderness Lodge which was pretty good. The chicken wing appetizer was wonderful!! The nachos were good, DH ate every bite of his soup and my mom ate all of her salad. I got the pork chops which were good, the others got steak which they said was just okay. Now the mashed potatos were the bomb!!!! Desserts were caramel and apple pie and chocolate cake and were all good. Our server was hillarious and talked in a high voice. I would give the restaurant a B+ and will definately eat here again but probably stick to the skillet.
Saturday was 1900 Park Faire. The Strawberry Soup is the most yummy stuff imaginable. The buffet was okay, standard buffet food nothing out of the ordinary except the Strawberry Soup. The characters were very interactive, Cinderella, Prince Charming and Perla and Suzie. I would give the restaurant a C but the Strawberry Soup gets an A+ I would probably go back just for the soup.
Sunday was Cinderella's Castle and was our best meal overall. DH and I had the Cheese Soup appetizer which was very good although not as good as Le Cellier's Cheese Soup but still good. DS had Spring Rolls which were very good and mom had the salad. We all had prime rib and it was SUPER. It was so yummy and tender. Mom and I got the slipper dessert and DH and DS got something chocolate. The chocolate in the slipper is yummy but the actual slipper isn't good at all. Service was supreme. I had read where people were rushed. We weren't rushed at all. We actually stayed and talked and listened to the fireworks outside. We also watched a proposal which was so sweet. I would give the food an A+ with the exception of the slipper. It was excellent!
Monday was O'Hana's new menu. I wasn't feeling well so I got a Mudslide which helped a bit. The new potatos were yummy to me. They were really good. The rest of the appetizers were good, I didn't eat the mixed veggies but my mom ate a good bit of them and she loved the salad. The shrimp did come with the appetizers and was really good. The "green" dipping sauce was good. I didn't care for the peanut and the other sauce. The steak and pork and sausage were all good. The turkey tasted a lot like lime. The dessert was pineapple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and banana foster sauce. It was really really good. We got a super table which looked out at the castle. They did dim the lights and we were able to watch wishes. We weren't rushed even though we were finished eating 15 minutes before the fireworks started. John-Cole had one of the huge snowcones and ate almost all of it. I would give the new O'Hana an A and we will definately go back.
Tuesday was LeCellier. It was packed full as usual. Our server was wonderful and told us that LeCellier is now number 2 on all of Disney property. John and I both had the Soup, excellent as always. Mama had the Cesar salad which was HUGE pieces of lettuce which she had to cut up herself. She said that was weird having to cut up her salad but it was good. J.C. had the beef kabob which he ate all of. Everyone except myself had a 14oz. steak which was very good. Mama said her steak was a bit tough but had a good taste. I had the surf and turf special which was a 5oz. steak and lobster tail. It was so yummy. The steak could be cut with a fork and the lobster was good as well. It was MY personal favorite meal. For dessert J.C. had the chocolate mousse, John the smores and mom and I the cobbler. The mousse was really good. John didn't care for the smores but the cobbler was good. I would give the meal an A and mine an A+. Yep we will be back!
Wednesday was Sci-Fi. John had the chili, John-Cole and mom had the onion rings and I had the Spinich/artichoke dip. All of our appetizers were yummy. John-Cole had a hamburger, John the turkey sandwich and mom and I the steak sandwich. J.C. enjoyed his burger but the steak sandwich was yucky to both my mom and I, really yucky. The cheesecake was also yucky but the Caramel and Chocolate sundae was good. I would give the meal a D for myself. The appetizer was good but the cheesecake and steak sandwich were both horrible. I think if we do ever go back we will stick to burgers. The service was also very slow. I do feel like we wasted a table service with this meal.
Thursday we ate at Concourse. Appetizers were salad, shellfish bisque, chicken wings and onion soup. It was all very good. Our steaks were all very good as well. The desserts were super! The peach and berry cobbler was yummy as was the special cheesecake. I just honestly can't think of one bad thing to say about this restaurant. It was very very yummy and I would give it an A. There was not one thing bad here, everything was good and fresh.
Friday we decided to use 2 credits and do the Hoop De Doo. OMG it was hillarious. It was so much fun. The food was plentyful, bread, salad with yummy Italian dressing, Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, fried chicken, ribs (super tender) and strawberry shortcake for dessert. We all had a super time. We laughed and laughed. It is an excellent show. I would definately like to go back even for the price of $50 per person. Its stupid comedy which John-Cole loves. We all had a good time. I would give the show an A+ and the food a A, its just down home cookin....LOL!
As for Counter Service we ate at Pinocchio (The Canoli is to die for!!!!!!!!) Flame Tree BBQ, Cosmic Rays, Pop Food Court, Caribbean Food Court and the Land. All of the above were good, regular counter service food except the Canoli which was an A+++++++++++++++
The one counter service that stood out though was Saturday night at Tangerine in Morocco. We had lamb and chicken and it was excellent. It was heads and tails above the Marakkesh where we ate at Christmas time. It was by far our best deal on Counter Service and the best tasteing (well with the exception of the Canoli at Pinocchios
)
I haven't added up all the totals of our food yet but I am suspecting well over $1,000 dollars worth of food for 4 adults and our vacation was only $2,000 for 9 nights at Pop Century with all of our Park Hopper Passes and 5 Plus Options. So by far this is the best Disney deal ever and we will definately book again if it becomes available in the future.
Wow this was long, any questions please ask!
