My boyfriend and I just got back last night from our trip and I cannot say how much we loved Shutters!
The food we had there was the best meal that we had during our whole trip! I had the Carribean Pasta and my BF had the Land and Sea. They also have this butter for the bread that has cilantro and lime added to it that is delicious! To top it off, we had a really great waiter named Eddie who made the dinner that much better.
Between how much we liked the food and how great our waiter was, we canceled our dinner plans for our last night at Le Cellier and went back to Shutters instead.
If you're planning a trip and looking for resturants, definatly don't overlook Shutters. :thumbsup2 :)

That's really good to hear. We actually stayed at Caribbean Beach for four nights in 2008 and it never even occurred to us to check the place out. I regret that and hope to go back there some time. It seems to be a really overlooked restaurant and I actually don't know if I've even seen any topics about it before this one. Of course, I haven't been here for very long.

Count me in as another Shutters lover!

The first time we ate there we were staying at CBR and were too tired to go back into the park our last night, so we cancelled one ADR and went there. It was really just us wanting to use up our last four ts credits and I can honestly say, I was not into it! Well like you, it turned out to be the surprise meal of the trip and about our favorite. I remember the prime rib and coconut shrimp were excellent, we had great service and we vowed to go back. Which we did a couple of trips later when although we were not staying at CBR we decided to drive over there for dinner. Again, it was wonderful!

You hear so little about it but to us, its a nice little hidden gem you can get into easily.

Whenever I see the rare thread with this restaurant asked about or mentioned, I always chime in about our great experiences there.

And for the record, I think Boatwrights (POR), and Maya Grill (CSR), are also very good and often overlooked. But of the three I like Shutters the best.

Hi DisneyCaliCouple,
Thanks for sharing about Shutters. It is not somewhere I have eaten before so I will have to give it a try. I love hearing about places that do not get talked about as much. Glad to hear you had a great time.:thumbsup2

I am glad to hear it because we are eating there on our arrival night in April...:goodvibes

We stayed at CBR in Nov. '09 so I think we ate there 3 times. The first time we HATED the prime rib--it tasted like ham. They gave us another entree and we loved it! We had a great time our other 2 nights also! They let us have smoothies instead of soft drinks on the dining plan. Because it's not one of the more popular places, I didn't feel any pressure to eat faster so that others could get in. I just had to stand up for them too, 'cause on other Disney sites they sometimes get a bad rap. Anyway, going to CBR again in Feb and we can't wait! :yay:
