Looking back over the awful beginning of our first afternoon there, the problem was running around and backtracking looking for FP's. (Trying to move from one part of the park to another during a parade is no fun)>

What do you guys think of a central FP station? Do you think it would save people walking around and help with crowd control? Do you think it would encourage less popular rides to get more people time?

It would certainly help if I have a 5:30 PS if I could make a better choice what FP would work.

Just a thought.

I guess I did not realize that there were only a certain number of FP's sold throughout the day for each of the FP machines. I have been to WDW before and after the induction of FP and I feel that FP does create shorter wait times overall. But I still don't understand that if FP machines are out, then that means no one can get a FP. How is that unfair, or worse yet, descriminatory?

I'm sure you meant to say issued and not "sold". But I just wanted to make sure that was clear.

As for how that is unfair is just because of that. Just because the FP is no longer available doesn't mean that they aren't actively out there. So if you get there after the "limit" is reached then you have no choice but to be in "stand-by" and watch those that got FP before they ran out, going ahead of you and your wait time is magnified. The other side of the coin is that if everyone could possibly have one then the entire purpose is basically voided. We would all be spending the same amount of time standing in the FP line. The entire system depends on the majority being in the Stand-by line.
:jumping1:

Lines are shorter when you get there in the morning than when you get there in the afternoon. Is that discriminatory, too? Maybe they shouldn't open the gates until noon or 1 p.m., so the folks who want to sleep in have the same chance to get FPs, and everyone will equally face the long lines you say are such a great thing.

I think we have discussed this topic enough. It will now be closed.
