Just got back and I was shocked!

DS and I just returned from a 8 day stay and I was suprised to find.....
Clean parks, nice CMs, people who apologized for stepping in front of my son's wheelchair, and I didn't see any bad parents or shocking behavior. Well I did see one incident at the bus stop at Ak when a little boy was really throwing a fit and his mom looked like she was ready to loose it with him, Oh wait that was me and my son I apologize to everyone at the POP bus stop at the AK for that little unscheduled show
I guess after reading a lot of posts in the past few months I was expecting the worst and recieved the best. I finally experienced some of the magic everyone was talking about. Thanks Disneyworld!!!!!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip!

I think that the stress of last year on everyone may finally be gone along with the crunch to get things "ready" for the anniv celebration. Our last few trips have been fantastic as well!

Most of the magic at WDW seems to be the magic you take with you. I am glad you found plenty there for you and your family!

I'm glad that you posted this because it made me realize that we also had a great experience on our trip last week. People turned around and apologized to ME when they stepped in front of the stroller. Someone offered to let our kids sit on the front line next to their son while they stepped back to watch the parade at MGM. We split up to find seats for a couple of the shows and one couple at IJ at MGM told DD & I to sit down next to them & they slid over to make room. They were in the 3rd row. When I turned around to see where DH & DD were they asked me how many more we had & had everyone slide down so that we could all sit together. All those little things added up to make it an incredible vacation!

thanks for the super post. as we get more and more cynical, it is great to know that there are still plenty of great experiences out there. we tend to dwell on the one negative rather than the hundreds of positive. glad you had a great time.

Wow, thanks for that reassuring note. We haven't been to Disney for about ten years. (Dagnabit....Can you imagine the withdrawal pains I've suffered?!?!) Back then it was so clean, everyone was so nice, and it was such a fabulous magical time.... but I thought maybe things had changed with the times from what I had been reading from different folks. I'm so glad to know you and others have had positive experiences recently. I'm so looking forward to our trip in August!

Sounds like you had a great trip - glad to hear it. Regarding all the negatives, I think that people are more likely to say something when things go wrong, so while we hear from those who do have bad (or at least, not wonderful) experiences, we don't hear as often from those who have good experiences. Since we expect things to be great, we often don't say anything since everything is the way we expected it to be. So thanks for taking the time to post!

Sometimes it does seem that people expect one's person's experience will be everyone's experience. If trips to WDW were as shocking, ill-behavior ridden, or as full of rude people as popular lore would have it, nobody would want to go there. Since people are beating down the doors to get in, I suspect most people are, as you obviously did, having a great time.
