Just got approval from DH!!!

Ok... my DH, who thoroughly enjoys Disney but never "got it"... agreed this weekend to buy into DVC. Woo Hoo!!!! We are planning on buying resale and since we need less than 100 points, we have to wait for one to post to a reseller. I think that between the two of us, we must check the websites about 200 times a day (did you notice I said that "we" are both checking it...! I think he's starting to "get it"!). DH is way more patient than I am so this is killing me. For those that bought resale, how did you get through while you were waiting for one to open up?!! I can't wait to call Disney "home"!!!!

Congrats!! My DH did not get it either until we toured SSR this past July. We just closed on 160 points through Disney. It just takes them longer. Good luck!!!

It took me about 2 weeks from when we made the decision to buy to when we found what we were looking for. We were pretty flexible in what we wanted (onsite between 50 to 80 points). If something comes up anywhere, don't hesitate to call and grab it. Sometimes they go within 15 minutes.

I can wait two weeks - that doesn't seem so bad! And we are looking for pretty much the same thing that you were looking for! So, if you don't mind me asking, how has it worked out for you? Everytime I see a resale for more points than we need right now, I try to justify it and DH has to talk me off the ledge!

We just closed a couple of weeks ago and are still waiting on our membership numbers and info from Disney. We figured that we will be able to gat a 1 or 2 bedroom every 3rd year for our family of 4 (We can't afford to go every year). Good luck.

Liisa - Don't just wait for a resale to show up - call the resellers and get on their waiting lists. Some of the smaller contracts never make it to the sites, because there are potential buyers who had asked to be notified. I think you'll get your perfect contract sooner that way!!!!

Our resale was destined
We had been talking about buying DVC FOREVER, then one weekend we decided we would do it, that Monday there was a 100 point BCV with 2005 points available, that was the clincher for us Now waiting to book for HHI in June and BCV next October is KILLING me, I want to book it now and of course instead of checking resales I am checking airfare and hoping for a good deal so we can go in March I am never happy

You can always call the Timeshare Store and have them put you on a list when something you want becomes available, GOOD LUCK

call them up and let them know what you are looking for, than they can let you know if they have anything before they post it.

Well, we managed to talk ourselves into more points! I figured we would eventually, I just didn't realize that it would be so quick! So....... we called a reseller this morning and put a bid on a DVC property.

I hope, hope, hope that this goes through!!!
