The postcard says "What's your hat say?"

When you open it it offers you 40% off Value Resorts *ANY* of the following weeks:

Now to Feb 7th 2007
Feb 25th - Mar 7th 2007
May 28th - June 3rd 2007
Aug 21st - Oct 6th 2007
Oct 21st - Nov 3rd 2007
Nov 11th - 16th 2007
Dec 9th - 22nd 2007

I priced out Feb 25th - Mar 4th
Boardwalk $257/night
$2223.97
RACK is $429/night

I also looked at Aug 24th to Sept 1st
Pop Century $49/night plus tax
Caribbean Beach $87/night plus tax
Boardwalk $189/night plus tax
Polynesian $197/night plus tax

All are Standard Rooms.

This deal is unbelievable

I believe this offer is for VALUE resorts only. I hope I am wrong because I received this today and would love to be able to use it for a moderate.

CONGRATULATIONS :woohoo: and send some of that Pixie Dust my way. I'd sure take them up on an offer like those.

Every postcard I have gotten has showcased one area of hotels (value or mods or deluxe) but then when I called there were deals available in all the categories.

OOOh! Good to know. If it *is* for value only I may book two rooms with it. 40% off is awesome.

ME TOO!

I live in southern Ontario and just got the postcard today - the same one!

It's not just Value resorts though...

I got a quote for the BC, Aug 25 - Sept. 2/07, Standard Room

Normally $315/night

W/ code: $189/night

EXACTLY 40% off!

So I can save $1134.00!!!!!

It's definitely for all - I got GF Gardenview for $225/nt ($150/nt discount)!

I had a CM tell me that even though you get an email saying 40% or whatever off at a value that it's actually good for any of the resorts.

Although I'm very happy for those who received this postcard, it makes me a bit angry.

I mean, we're staying at Wilderness Lodge in December for 9 nights. It seems kind of unfair that the person staying in the room next to me may be spending about $1,300 for the same room that I'll be spending $2,200 for, all because of "the luck of the draw".

I don't mean to start a heated debate or anything, but that bothers me. I don't know how Disney choses to send these postcards to, but I've been pretty darn loyal to Disney over the years. Not sure if they just give these rates to people that don't go as often in hopes to garner more business, but something about it has always irked me a bit.

WDW is anticipating a potential decline in Canadian visitors due to the new passport regulations. This is one element of a new marketing campaign just launched, encouraging Canadian visitors.

Not much different from back in the days when the exchange rate was 1.54 etc.

Can you call and ask if there are codes available? Just wondering as we are dishing out a lot of $$$ for a trip in September and discount would be mucho helpful!

P.S. I am curious how this luck of the draw works too. We are loyal customers as well and I even take the time to do those polls and questionaires anytime they ask. What's the secret?:confused3

oh, and congrats to those who got a postcard :)

Although it is great that Canadians finally get to receive postcards for resort discounts....I have to agree with the above poster. I wonder how Disney goes about sending these discounts. You'd think that they would encourage the loyal visitors too. I for one don't even want to tally how much $$ I have spent at WDW in the last 5 years but it does tick me off just a little ( ok, alot) that this is being done.

Congratulations to the original poster:banana:  :cool1: :cool1:

We cancelled our trip this year as we are hoping to move house and did not think we could afford Disney this year. I have my fingers crossed and am wishing really hard upon a star that a postcard finds it's way into our mailbox.

Good luck to everyone who would like to receive a postcard!!!!!!!!

Just call and a CM should be able to check and see if a pincode is attached to your name (keep calling until you get one who will). You can also go to the Disney website to the site map, click on "my offers" and see what's there also. Good luck! I am so happy with my GF rate of $225 for gardenview in late August - I hope you get the same!:wizard:

It looks like this isn't just a Canadian promotion - what you're describing is the same as something I received yesterday in Connecticut - I posted on another thread that it actually came to my grandfather's name at my address since we had made reservations for him as a Christmas gift a few years back...so I don't know if I can even use it (plus I already have DVC ressies for the year, so I'll sit on this and try to use it if I have a Ding fare pop up I guess) It looks like a great deal!!! Good luck to everyone!

My postcard came under my friends name - we took a trip together in Aug 2003. She wrote down our address as hers and despite it being in her name, the CM had no problem pulling up the code with MY info, so i assume that they go by address as opposed to the name listed on the postcard

How many rooms can you book with the code?

I got it today, and the first time I called I was able to book 2 rooms. However I've only received one confirmation number so the second room doesn't seem to be confirmed.

I called again to see if I could add a third room, but told the first time that the limit was two rooms, and when I called a 3rd time was told that I should have only been able to book one room anyway.

Has anyone had success booking more than one room using this code?
