Just got 40% off BCVs! Be careful though and pay attention...

My husband just switched our Bay Lake reservation to Beach Club Villas bc Bay Lake apparently wasn't included in the AP discount. But we got the 40% off AP rate for BCV. At first the CM tried to quote the rack rate to my husband as the "discount" but my husband is good with numbers and caught on. The CM did this twice. Sean (husband) had to keep saying that that was rack rate and it was supposed to be 40% off. Then the CM, I guess, noticed the actual discount and apologized and gave it to us. So be careful when you're booking. Make sure you're getting the actual discount.

Also make sure you get the room category you really want. I checked the rack rate vs the AP rate on the regular WDW and the WDW AP site before I called and compared the percentages, to make sure all the moderates were the same percentage off. I knew when I called what my total should be. I was very specific and told the CM I wanted a 'standard room at POFQ with no insurance added'. He immediately started asking if I wanted to add the DDP and started telling me what a great deal the DDPs were. "Uh No, I have the TiW card". Then he said he had a king room for a certain price, again, "No, I want a standard room". At first he started to tell me there were no standard rooms available, but then when I told him I was looking at one on the AP site as we were talking, suddenly one appeared on his screen.

Yeah I was trying to the give the CM my DH was talking to the benefit of the doubt. But it was amazing how conveniently the discount showed up after my DH stood his ground. I hope they aren't doing this in purpose. Hopefully it was just an oversight in our case.
