I just read Mousesavers. Disney is organizing family vacations to Hawaii and Yellowstone. They were quite pricey! For a family of 4 I believe was over $5000.00 not including air (which you have to pay for 3 transfers to 3 different islands). It included breakfast, some lunches and dinners for 7 nights, 8 days. They said it was a "trial" for the summer. I'll be interested to see what happens.

Could it be related to the other rumors of DVC in Hawaii and Colorado?

I couldn't find a word about this new program on Mousesavers. It has to be the clunkiest website I've ever seen. Can you post a link to the actual page about the two new trips?

That's the one, Tigger! Thank you. Some of it is obviously written by someone who has never been to Teton or Yellowstone, but it basically covers what I wanted to know.

Thanks again.

"A very limited number of participants will have the opportunity to test out the concept, which brings Disney quality to non-Disney vacation destinations."

Disney quality? 10 years ago that meant something different to me than it does now. In any case, as long as I have OKW I don't need Hawaii! :cool1:

Friends of mine took their first trip home to SSR last month. They were telling me how they were invited to come hear about this program. They said absolutely everything you could dream of would be incluced in the packages -- surfing lessons in Hawaii, horseback rides in Yellowstone, that type of thing. They felt maybe there was too much in the packages and questioned whether some of the things could even be used by small children. Something about horse tours that they didn't think their 3 year-old or maybe even their 7 year-old could do. They also were pretty much bowled over by the price....and money is not usually a major concern for them. They mentioned in the $5,000-$6,000 range for the Western tours and $10,000 for Hawaii -- all of this NOT including air fare. They doubted they would participate in these tours but thought it was interesting to hear about it. They also said it was positioned as totally seperate from the DVC program.
