My mom and sister make that kind of stuffing.
They are definately the generation that does not waste anything.

I struggle for 15 minutes getting that bag out of the turkey, and throw it right in the garbage. I'll never forget the first time my dh ate the stuffing at my house.

My DSIS IL used to make her stuffing with teh gizzard things. I forgot to warn my Dh the first year we had Christmas dinner there and since he loves stuffing he took a huge helping, thinking the rest of us were nuts to pass it by for something else. I almost died watching him choke it down He is talking about it still 25 years later!

I couldn't agree more... however.. my 2 sis in laws refused to get that concept.... and the one year I had a christmas eve party it was the "worst night ever " for my SIL cause I did it in my families tradition and not hers....
she actually said that!!
So you may be right but you may still have to pay for your decision...

I would not "pay" for hosting a Holiday meal in my home including my family traditions. I would however point out how rude it was to accept an invitation to my home and then complain about the meal i worked so hard to provide. I would the suggest that if I managed to create the worst night of my SIS Il life she was welcome to decline next year.
