Just found out i'm pregnant....wdw trip in 2 weeks.

Hi Deeshie,

Just noticed your reply about your Doc saying don't worry about the rides. I don't think you'll be allowed on any of the rides - even the smaller rides have warnings about pregnant mums. It used to annoy me about the ticket prices as I think we should pay slightly less - on a par with OAP rates as we can't use all the facilities etc? Just my opninion anyway!

crazywig, congrats!!!

Been there, done that... twice! I was pregnant on both of my last two trips to WDW.
I was in my first trimester both times. All of the rides are clearly marked so you won't have a problem figuring out what you should or shouldn't do. Be sure to drinks lots of fluid, snack frequently, and rest often. (I think I took a short nap on some of the days.)

You'll have a great time!

Lisa,

I was rather shocked myself at the Doctor's advice. (His example, space mountain only goes 20 mph. I told him I wouldn't know, I always have my eyes closed). I guess I never paid attention on the smaller rides as to prohibitions, but even on the thrill rides, WDW's main concern is to protect themselves from lawsuits, not necessarily you (and I can't blame them). However, regardless of my Doctor's opinion, I don't plan on hitting the thrill rides, or the tea cups for that matter. I really was looking forward to the safari ride, and I hear if you sit toward the front it isn't as bumpy, but I'll have to see.

But who am I kidding, I will probably spend most of my time in the bathroom.

Are you suffering from Morning sickness at the mo???

I was absolutely fine with my first pregnancy no morning sickness whatsover, but unfortunately wasn't that lucky with my 2nd and 3rd!!!

Make sure you eat Ginger biscuits which help with morning sickness. In the UK we get Ginger Nuts which are scrummy!!!

Hi! Just did WDW in July; found out after returning home that I was pregnant. Since I had no idea that I was pregnant, I rode almost every ride there. No problem on Splash, Big Thunder, Space, RnR, or ToT. In fact, the only thing that bothered me at all was the second spin on the Teacups: my 2 1/2 yr old DS decided to spin it faster, and that made me dizzy!

The most important factor, really, in determining if a ride is doable, is your blood pressure! Any change in your BP can be dangerous, especially in the 1st trimester. Any ride that could get you racing is a no-no, regardless of how tame others say it is. Obviously, you'll want to make sure any lap bars and seatbelts are a little bit looser than normal, so they don't add any undue pressure.

And I occur with the other posters, plenty of fluids, plenty of rest, eat smaller more frequent meals, and get plenty of rest!
