How many? and What Kind of souviner's do you buy at WDW? and Do you buy for everyone back home who didn't get to go?
Just wondering do I need an "extra" suitcase for all the stuff we buy.:rotfl: My DD is obsessed with all that is Disney and I don't know how we are going to get her out of the parks!

I bought things for 6 kids. Ears with names on them. I bought my cousins a large rice krispie with chocolate ears. my mom and brother a glass a coffee cup and beer mug.
:cool1:

I am a 23 year old only child and I usually go with friends or my boyfriend...I always try to find a little something for my parents (coffee mug, framed picture) and a magnet for my Granny. Other than that I don't really bring anyone else anything unless they have a birthday or a holiday is coming up. I usually buy myself one or two small things...:rotfl:

I usually buy a small something for my mother, as I usually travel with my best friend to Disney these days. And I come home with a small bag full of pens or pins for co-workers, we have a little trade thing going, whenever someone goes on vacation, they bring back little trinkets like that. As for myself, I might buy a t-shirt or something small, but I don't go extravagant. I take lots of pictures, and those are my personal souvenirs.

I like to go to the jewelry shop by Cindys Castle, not sure what the name is, and make a charm bracelet or necklace. They have tons of charms to choose from. I got one with Mickey, Minnie, and Tink last time I will probably get another one this time. DS-7 got a stitch spinning flashlight thingy, and a bumch of small stuff he blew his $$ on. Not sure what else i will buy this time.

We always have to buy a magnet that has the year on it. We love to see them at home holding up our pictures from our different trips! We also buy t-shirts and sometimes a key chain. But, the magnets are a must!

We went for 5 nights with the idea that the kids' could pick one souvenier each. We weren't going to bring back much of anything. :rotfl: I personally selected 2 boxes of Disney Mr. Potato Head parts to feed my obsession. We also brought home a box of Little Pony stuff, a baby Ariel doll, a toy camera, 2 Jasmine doll sets (the kind like polly pocket), 2 new pairs of sunglasses (we forgot to bring some for the kids), a mickey baseball hat (DH forgot a hat), a bag of giftshop rocks and several postcards.

I used to get souvies for extended family but the more we go, the less I get for other people. I love getting DD a sweatshirt/t shirt so that she has a souvie she can wear. Get always leave with toys too. For us, I get DH a shirt each time. Other than that, the souvies kind of vary. I like things that can go around the house as little everyday reminders of disney. Kitchen items are good for that.

Although I am in Florida, I love sending out postcards to out of state friends when on an extended trip in the Orlando area! It's a little hug of sorts that does not cost much and I'm certain puts a smile on their faces.

As for things for myelf - I really do not buy anything much unless I really want it. Call me a cheap dork, I always go for the "Can I live without this?" Strategy. If I can, then I don't need it!

Our first family trip we spent a lot more than the second trip. We now alot each girl $20 a day to get something. On the last day we will let them spend a little more for something more special.
As for others, we will bring back for our cats! :rotfl: My parents and sister both live in Florida. My other sister would not appreciate a WDW gift.:sad2:
DH will usually get something for the Admins in his office.

Here are some of the things we bought back last time;

  • Cat Treats.
  • Cat Bowl.
  • Ears we had each girls name embroided on them.
  • Little princess dolls.
  • Some large clear plastic cups with mickey heads in red and black.
  • A couple of T-shirts.
  • A zippered sweatshirt.
  • Princess treasure chest that you fill with treasures.

We just bought $60 worth of disney dollars from the disney store. The kids are doing chores around the house and earning disney dollars so they can buy their own gifts while at WDW. We are not going until September. It will be interesting to see how many $$ they have earned by then. So far it is a riot to see my 4 year old wake up and clean his room as the first thing he does for the day.
Also, we always buy a christmas ornament with the year on it.:santa:

I will get another Disney Photo Album for myself but I have a BAD habit of getting little goodies for everyone. This upcoming trip will be the first one for our daughters so I will have to wait and see what they want but I think that I will give them a daily allowance each day we are in the parks.

For my DFIL and DBIL, I get golfballs with Disney Charat. on them. I get DMIL, little charm or piece of jewelry. And I get my nephew a toy and a dippy cup!

My parents will be with us, so they are on there own. :lmao:

Since we fly, goodies HAVE to be small.

We always get a refrigerator magnet with the year on it. We usually get shirts.

This year I plan to take advantage of the photopass photographers a lot, and get the photopass CD.

We always come home with lots of stuffed Mickeys and other characters. My kids always get the special stuffed Mickey every year that has a gold medal on his foot that has the year on it. I always get myself a key chain. I like to get kitchen things like towels, salt and pepper shakers, spatulas etc... for myself and others. These things are cheap, but are also seen every day as a reminder of our trip. I like to get a coffee mug for myself. For my nieces, we get little necklaces with princesses on them. Of course we get pins, and my boys each get a hat. I like to get photo albums and scrapbook stuff at DTD.

I always get a t-shirt (yeah, I'm a t-shirt addict; I've got tons!) and a couple of pins. I've also been known to bring my dog home a toy. Last time I got her a tug-of-war toy. :rotfl: I usually get something small for close friends, a pin or a bracelet. Something along those lines.

We don't buy a lot. Last time I just bought a Christmas ornament and some Winnie the Pooh salt and pepper shakers. I didnt have the kids then, though...

My DH always buys us each a watch. He gets a t-shirt and coffee mug each time. I buy a piece of jewelry for myself. My Dd buys ears, pins, jewelry and a slushie mug from Goofy's Candy Co. My DD gets pens in the shape of characters heads for teachers and cheap stretchy band bracelets for her friends. :goodvibes
