Just for fun - what to do to make MVMCP better?

I think the consensus is that most guests prefer Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Having never attended the second (but I did attend and loved the MNSSHP), I wonder what everyone thinks could be done to MVMCP to put it up the caliber of the Halloween party.

Thanks. :)

I love both of them, but I do like MNSSHP better. I believe it is the riding of the headless horseman after hearing the story of Sleepy Hollow told by Mr. Nickerbocker that mades it better.

Headless Santa?

:lmao:

The MVMCP parade is weaker than the MNSSHP one -- so step one would be to improve the parade (the parade gets its "oomph" from snow on Main St., but if you view the parade from elsewhere you lose that effect).

I think one aspect is that for Halloween, the CMs do an outrageously amazing job of decorating the park in the hours RIGHT before the party -- clearly a huge effort, and makes the park feel different than it did earlier that same day. Christmas decorations, though, are up and stay up, so you miss that transformation.

They could, step two, up the number of special characters and characters in holiday garb -- they do a little of this but they could do a lot more.

I think the other thing about Halloween is dressing up in costumes for it that makes it a little more special and fun -- don't see a way to replicate that for Christmas.

We've done both parties and have opted this year to return in Dec for MVMCP, but on our next trip we'll do Oct specifically for MNSSHP.

Have a Halloween Parade?

Hmmm, come to think of it, this isn't such a bad idea. Turn the MVMCP Parade over to Jack Skellington. It would be great! Have all sorts of attemps at Christmas decorations, but end up being macabre.

DH and I got to see the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay of the Haunted Mansion at DL last year. We loved it. We also enjoyed the Christmas overlay of It's a Small World. The best quote was from a little boy who said, "They made them (IASM's dolls) sing Jingle Bells!!". :rotfl:
