Just for fun...what additions/changes would you like in the DDP?

Just for fun, I thought I would start this thread (sorry if something like this already exists)!

Here is what I would like to see added to the DDP options:

An additional "tier" which would be in between the regular dining plan and the deluxe dining plan. In this tier, people would have the option of choosing between 2 different plans. Just for fun, we will name it the "Disney plus 'dining plus' plan".

Choice of:

-2 "anywhere" meals plus one snack per person daily (this means meals can be either TS, as opposed to one of each daily)

-2 TS meals daily and 1 CS daily per person, but no snacks

What do you all think? What would you like to see?

I'm actually fine with the dining plan the way it is. The only thing I would change is having the option of "appetizer" OR "dessert".

I agree. I think it would be great to have the option. DH is just not a big dessert eater. He very rarely gets dessert . . . doesn't even eat cake on his birthday

I love my sweets and will take any possible excuse to devour some yummy dessert, but he would be so much happier with an appetizer!

I like the idea of a 2 TS plan. We loved the Deluxe plan, but there were days when we ate too much at the breakfast buffet and were not hungry for our lunch reservations.

Since we prefer all TS when we are there, the DDP does not work for us. But a plan with 2 TS and snacks would be perfect.

Until they offer that, we will do the Deluxe because even if we don't use all of the TS meals, we still save money on that plan.

I'd actually like to see 2 CS and 1 TS. We would normally only eat 1 TS per day, and although you can use snack credits for breakfast items, it would be nice if you could have a more substantial breakfast while using your DDP Entitlements (I hate that term, but that is what Disney uses.)

I'd like for the tip to be included in all plans. I would be willing to pay a commensurately increased price to avoid the hassle.

I'd like for the regular DDP to include the diner's choice of either a small salad or a soup. I understand not offering crab cakes and the like under the plan, but a small "field greens" salad or a cup of soup is a welcome start to a meal -- and is very inexpensive to make. (I know about the table turnover thing, but I don't care. This is how we like to dine, whether we're at WDW or not.)

I answered tip included and a table appetizer (i.e. breads/spreads instead of individual orders) on another thread, but I'd also be happy to see the snack credits go. I think it's a pitb trying to figure out what can/cannot be bought with a snack credit.

I'd create--doubt I'd use it, except for really short trips, a CS/snack plan

3 CS meals and 2 snacks plus a refillable mug $40 per day.

I agree with some of the previous posters. I like the plan the way it is but with a choice of appetizer or dessert AND please, please add the tip back again. I like the convenience of not having to pack around extra cash. I'd be willing to pay more just for that convenience.

Remove the dessert and put the appetizer back on TS, remove dessert from CS and lower$$$$

In a similar thread I said that I would like the choice of an appetizer OR dessert too. Otherwise I am find with the plan the way it is but then again our upcoming trip is the first time we'll be using the DDP.

I wish they would add the tip back in! When I called to make my ADRs the CM to me that the reason they removed the tip was because so many people complained about the tip being added in! I hate to carry extra cash around just for tips!
