Just for fun... How much would you pay for Fastpass?

I didn't mind the old system the way it was but I do expect some change to the system when it returns and knowing Disney, it will be for charge. I don't mind lines but we have small children who can't wait in long lines without needing a bathroom break etc. so Fast Pass for us is very valuable. We are passholders currently so I would hope for it to be included or at least added at a cost of $100-$200 a year per pass. If paying by day, I would hope it's something similar to Max Pass and be around $25 per day per person. I also like the idea of it only being available to on site guests, making it more exclusive and bigger benefit to staying onsite.

Zero, nada, zip, nothing. We actually rarely used FPs (pre-Covid) because we like to do things on the fly. The only time we would even book one was when we were standing in a line for a ride, I would check to see what was available within the time frame we were supposed to be getting off the current ride plus about 30 min. That was actually pretty rare, we have been going since long before any of FP systems so standing in line was just part of what we did. We aren't real ride centric, we like to ride them but a lot are off limits since my son has nerve damage in his spinal cord and can't ride most coasters or anything that jerks. I will ride some of them when he's not with me. If we don't ride a ride, it's no big deal. We are lucky enough to live within 7 to 8 hours drive away and I'm at the time of my life I can afford to go at least once a year, pre-Covid I was going at least twice or three times a year.

Probably $50. But in all honesty, I think the paid FP system is a terrible idea unless you lower the price of admission. I think raising the overall price is a better idea.

I feel like when you go to Six Flags and you pay $30 or $60 for a whole season pass then you’re willing to accept charges for extras like FP. I think Six Flags is like $25 extra. But if you’re already spending $120 then you kinda feel like you’re being ripped off by being asked to pay another $50. But I think if they just said FP was free but 1 day admission is now $150 then that would be better received.

Maybe it’s just me.

I wouldn't pay for a Fast Pass. If they started charging for these, I would go in a down-period or I would choose another vacation. Totally serious. Would not pay over-and-above the ticket price.

Fast Pass, even without cost, is a money-maker for Disney. When families aren't waiting in line, they're shopping and eating. Keeping people out of lines is just smart business; charging would reduce that money-maker -- and would make people feel they're being "nickel and dimed".

I would hope that if they do start charging it would be free to WDW Resort guests as they have taken and continue to take so much from those that stay onsite. Make it a perk for staying onsite.

ohhhh I like this idea!!

Nothing. Mind you DW and I never bothered with fast passes anyway - we’ve always gone with the flow. Weve never missed out on anything we desperately wanted to do, so... 🤷‍♂️

That approach doesn’t work well if you live a plane ride away and you’re married to a teacher so have to go at high crowd times with children who won’t want to wait 200 mins for a headliner ride.

Zero. The only reason why we "paid" for it in Disneyland was to get the photo pass photos.

I'm in agreement but with a different view. There was "value" in staying on site and subsequently buying DVC. Magical Express. Magic Bands. Earlier fastpass selection.

If I had to buy fastpass and rent a car/pay for transportation from the airport anyway. Why wouldn't I consider staying offisite for 25% of the price to cover the cost of a fast pass?

If they start charging hopefully it will be free for DVC members. There really aren't that many perks left since covid.

Oh, I absolutely understand that. We’re on the other side of the Pond so we’re a long haul flight away. We‘re lucky that we can visit pretty much whenever we choose (no children) although in practice we can’t take the heat between mid-April and end of October; we certainly wouldn’t visit during the summer... 🥵

ZERO DOLLARS! I have already rode all the rides at WDW a dozen or more times. I am not going to pay to ride those same rides again via paying for a FP! That's crazy! Get out of here with that foolishness. We usually go out of season when the lines are manageable. We have one niece left that turned 6 in 2020 (1st WDW trip rite of passage in our family). We will take all of the kids out of school late in May 2022 for her 1st trip. There is so much to do and see without having to pay for FP. We're rope droppers and leave late afternoon for early dinner and return in the evenings to shut the park down. We tour pretty well without FP so we're definitely not going to pay for a FP.

If you do VIP tours you pay like $800 to get unlimited FP and restaurant reservations
After paying like over $100 pp to get in. I think that enough nothing for FP
if lines get to long just find another place to drop 1,000 s per year

If fastpass were to cost, we'd decrease total days in the parks. With a family of 6, any cost adds up fast. With all the extra price increases and benefit cuts we are already decreasing our COVID cancelled rebook from 8 to 5 days when we next go. If we need to drop to 3 then so be it.

I think we would pay about $100 per person per day for unlimited fast passes. For my family if three a VIP tour would be crazy......I wouldn’t mind paying for the tour but the fact that it would only last for eight hours is insane. However, if they would stretch the cost over the length of our trip then I’d pay it. I’d hate to have a tour guide anyway. I have no interest in making small talk with someone I’ll never see again. I’d much rather have the fast passes and go where I want when I want. That’s my problem with Disney at this point....no freedom to be spontaneous.

I also feel that they are moving toward (what I consider to be) a two class system. You either pay for a VIP tour or you wait in line. I like Universal‘s system better. If you pay a little more then you get a little more.....stay in a deluxe resort, get free express passes. I can pay $400 a night for a room at Universal and get free express passes for everyone in my party. I can pay $2500 a night for a villa at Disney and get.....a night in a villa at Disney. No thanks.
