While standing in line for Pirates I started thinking how awsome it would be to get to explore the ride without all of the other guest there, and the lights on. I would love to peek behind the windows in the que and see whats there... to sit on the cabin's porch, and to prance around on the piles of golden tresure. It would be so awsome to see how some of the technical things work and get to see backstage. Obviously this will never happen but it would be an amazing thing to do.:worship: What attraction would you want to see "up close and personal"? Fun to dream:upsidedow

You should of gone to the D23 auction where they had prizes like that.

I'm not interested in seeing anything with the lights on. It could ruin the show because that isn't how it's meant to be seen. The lighting helps you focus on the show as intended.

I wouldn't mine seeing a lot of back stage operations.

I love details so I would be right there with checking out everything on POTC. :thumbsup2 I think I would be looking closely at the treasure scene and seeing what all is there exactly. It doesn't spoil it for me, it makes me appreciate how it works.

Another ride I would love to get and walk through is Monsters Inc in DCA. There are all those workplace notices on the wall and I can't ever read much of them as we go through. I want to stop and see what they all say. (Like the funny rules for monsters who want to ride a taxi they have posted in the line. )

Yep! I would want to see all the little bits I miss WITH THE LIGHTS ON!! Oh, to win that prize!!

Oh and yes for Monsters Inc as well -- I LOVE all the little things to look at - even in the line!! We got about 15 photos from just being in LINE!! Love it!!

But frankly I would love to see the behind the scenes and lights on of ALL the rides...they are all so amazing!!

As a kid in the 1980s/early90s we were stuck on Peter Pan and they had to turn the lights on and get us out of the ride very slowly (still moving in the ships, but at SUPER slow speed) -- that was amazing!! I think this is still my favourite ride today!! :lovestruc

Yeah, I don't like seeing rides with the lights on. It bothers me for some reason. I've had to walk through Snow White and I saw Indiana Jones with the lights on when it broke down. Both times made me a little sad.

If you are talking about the windows in the inside of the queue, if you could peek behind the curtains, you would see... the outdoor queue! When the lines get long enough to wrap around the sides of the building, folks on the outside will start knocking, then it is kind of obvious.
I would love to do a behind the scenes tour of Haunted Mansion. The ballroom and Leota always fascinated me as a child, and now as an adult I understand the concept, but still would LOVE to see it up close! One of my favorite things about the HMH overlay is that is is bright enough to get decent pictures!

I too would love to experience the pirates and the Haunted Mansion, sans the rest of the guests. But not with the lights on, for it would not be as effective that way, for me. Besides, things can be more fun in the dark. :)
