Anyone here have the MyTouch Fender Edition or the MyTouch 3G 3.5mm jack phone?
If so, did you get the new Froyo (2.2) update yet? And if so, how is your phone working?
I recieved the notice that the update was ready for my phone (3g w/3.5mm jack) last Thursday. After leaving it to do it's thing for a couple hours, I figured I could get on and explore the new features. However, my phone was running slower than molasses. I figured I'd give it a week to work out the kinks. Over the course of the last week, at least 2 times a day it would shut itself off (even on a full battery). And was still very slow in opening apps, typing text messages, and making phone calls.
I read on the community forums for t-mobile that many others were having the same issues. Many were calling and troubleshooting the phone with agents for over an hour before finally being offered a replacement phone.
I did a live chat session on the site tonight and was never asked what device was being troubleshooted (troubleshot?). So the session went downhill pretty quickly. And was told that the reason my phone kept shutting itself off/rebooting was because I needed a new battery. *shrugs*
I dunno.
I just know at this point, I'm very frustrated and will be going to the t-mobile store where I bought the phone and asking (demanding?) a replacement phone.
Just thought I'd see if anyone here on the DISboards with either of the phones mentioned above is having any issues.
DH and my mom both have the same phone as myself...and both recieved the update. And neither of them has had any problems.
