I read somewhere on here that they use it for functions and special occasions. They probably have so few "unused" buildings in WDW for such things that I doubt if they'll do anything else with it. But that's just my opinion.
They already do. I've been to a few special events there over the last few years and I've seen other events going on in there as I've walked by. I don't know if they will ever use it as an actual restaurant or other attraction again, but it definitely isn't sitting there abandoned and unused right now.
The OP is talking about the Odyssey. It's the building that is between Test Track and Mexico at EPCOT. It was originally a quick-serve restaurant but hasn't been used in that capacity in many years. It is now used for special events, especially during the Food & Wine Festival.
No, I think they are talking about the Odyssey Center. It is on the left before you get to Mexico in the World Showcase. We had a Grand Gathering for Illuminations there a couple years ago. I think they do use it for special events sometimes.
They use it on Tuesdays and Friday's for Grand Gatherings dinners - DJs, music, lights, dinner buffet, etc. Other special occasions, too. F&W festival events. The First Aid and Baby Station and some restrooms are also in that building.
