I Was Just Wondering Why They Ask If You Are On The Dining Plan When You Call To Make Adr's. Anyone Know?

I think they do this because some of the restaurants require a credit card to book and if they know your on the DDP they dont charge the credit card but if your not on the DDP the charge you at the time of booking. As i said could be wrong.

Not to be too cynical, but if your not on the DDP they may try to talk you in to it. Of course this is just a guess so I could be wrong too.

No, I don't think that they try to sell you the dining plan if you are not on it. I think that they do it so they can note the reservation and then the restaurant server ends up seeing it and then they know you are on the plan.

Nope, they didn't try to sell me the dining plan once and I called several times saying i'm not on it.. so that can't be it.

Are you staying in a Disney hotel? Did they ask that as well (if you are not you are not eligible, so no reason to ask)?

From what I remember when I asked it was add a note on one's reservation reminding one's server to ask about it.
