I just got my card in December and so far, in two three night trips, I have made back my investment ($50.00) and saved about $30.00. Going back in March and May and then who knows. My card is good until December 31, 2006, so I can't wait to see the savings by the end of the year.

How have you done?

After deducting the $50 cost, we have saved $70.81 so far and plan to use it on 2 more trips before it expires. It's been well worth it.

I feel like it has been so worth it for us. We are a family of 5, one child is a teen so a Disney "adult". ;) We have had the card since it first came available to AP holders and have gone to WDW 5 times with it. We do table service restaurants 2 to 3 times a day - so for us it paid for itself after one or two days!! We have saved a load of $$$, but I am not sure exactly how much - just know it has come in very handy!!! I recommend it and even with the changes will be renewing my card. :thumbsup2

We have used the DDE for 12 days in October and 7 days in December and have saved over $400 so far. We will be using it again in June for 12 more days.

I couldn't tell you how much we've saved....it's been great....even for our DD's birthday party at 1900 Park Fare...they took the 20% off 12 people not to mention the liquor!

I love that card...widh it included one CS at the parks other than AK!

We saved $283.79 last trip (mostly 5 people for dinner - 2xs 7 people for dinner)

I think I've saved a few hundred dollars in 3 trip ,and I'll save a nother 150 or so in April

We used ours in mid December for the first time with four of us.....$50.00 cost plus right around $100.00 ..... used it for about 5 meals (Boma breakfast, Liberty Tree lunch, Olivia's lunch, Boatwright's breakfast, Crew's Cup Lounge lunch) and two evenings for beverages at the River Roost. And we have two more trips planned before it expires end of 1/07....one with four of us and one with seven of us.

The first trip we saved $227.89 and just did a quick count on the last trip and saved another $587.49 for a grand total of $815.38. Well worth it for us, although next time I'm thinking of going with the package.

One word: WOW!!!!

I think I am going to do pretty good this next trip, staying at POP so all food court meals covered and drinks at the bar. :) Its a quick adults only trip for my friend and I while my DH takes the kids to NJ to visit his family. I bet we'll hit Boma as well as a sit down at Epcot so I am thinking at least $50.00 on this trip.

I know the next time my DH's family joins us (can be 10 or more people...), my FIL, who generally buys alot of our sit downs, is going to be VERY happy that I have the DDE. :)

Last May with family of 10 saved over $600 in 5 days.

Mind you that we went to V&A, but for 7 dinners in just one trip we saved nearly $300--and we have 2 more trips to go!!

I haven't sat down to figure it out, but we've used it for 4 trips so far, 3 of them with 4 people and 1 with 10, and we've saved HUNDREDS if not close to $1000 since I got it last May. It was great during Christmas week to get the bill for dinner for 10 people, and then have them take $150 or $180 off the top.

We got it specifically for our wedding and with all the meals surrounding our wedding and the fact that DH and I almost exclusively eat at TS restaurants every time we go (about twice a month) we've saved hundreds and are very happy that we got the card. He doesn't like the "newsletter" though :rotfl:

Just not sure if we can justify the $60.00 cost (A.P) for one trip. We got the A.P. for the room discount but I have 1 Disney adult and 1 Picky child eater along with my hubby and myself. Don't you get 10% off some dining establishments with the A.P. already?

We don't think we will do alot of sit down dinners. I hope I am making the right choice. :confused3 We leave in a month... :yay:

sanjoe,
yes, with an AP you do get a 10% off at some dining places.......go on the disney website and check under AP holders (in upper right corner) for any perks you are eligible for. I think AP dining discounts are listed on www.allearsnet.com also.

We saved over $300 during our December trip alone. We have it until December so we're using it again for our trip the week after Thanksgiving. There were four adults on every bill and we ate at two TS meals a day so that's why we saved so much. That and we went to the last showing of HDDR (which was by far the best show I've ever seen at HDDR) at 9:30 and saved about $45.

***Also, I love that it includes alcohol! Woo hoo!! Drinks are even better when they're cheaper!

Quite simply, you save 20% on food and beverages {alcohol included} at any participating restaurants.
And just a note, you now have to pay for the second card {$25} for another member of your household. {spouse, significant other, etc.}
And as another note, since they now allow the DDE membership for AP as well as Florida residents, restaurant prices in some instances have climbed almost 20% in some eateries since they changed the membership rules. :rolleyes2
