Congrats!!! Tug is a great place to go for info. They have recently started a DVC section for owners. You can get info on the resorts that you can trade into thru II and tips on how to use II. There is a resort review section so that you can read up on a resort before exchanging there. We have belonged for years. There is a fee but it is worth it for those resort reviews. It has save us from making a couple of mistakes over the years.

Ooh! Very good to know, thanks. I did see that there was a fee and wasn't sure I should join, but you make a very good point. Nothing worse that ruining a vacation because the place is not what you thought it was!

Thank you all again so much for the warm welcomes! It makes me smile every time I read the different posts.

I wanted to post a quick update. I was informed that we closed on the purchase on 4/21. Today I called DVC and received my member number and even booked my very first stay at BWV on my own points!!! So excited!!! We're heading "home" in January for the 1/2 marathon. DH is running it, I'll be spectating. No running for me, ! We'll be staying at BWV for the short trip. Can't wait!

There is also a list of owners at each resort that are willing to answer questions. I have never had anyone not answer my questions. The DVC section hasn't even been active for a month but it is coming along.
