that what I was "told" is accurate? Or should I just call WDWTC again and make sure what I was told is accurate?

Room reservations made in the "bounce back" program from my room before I left for Aug 31-Sept 9th. However, I told her that I wasn't absolutely sure of the days as I didn't know my husband's schedule off the top of my head and would check when I got home.

She said that it was $200 deposit due within 14 days of the reservation (which is really pushing it since I didn't get home until a few days after that- but that's besides the point) and the balance due by 45 (or was it 44?) days before arrival.

She also said that I could make any changes to the dates (such as date of arrival, how many nights staying, etc) up till the 44 days prior to arrival without any "penalties" or fees.

Is that true? I just want to make sure before I send the deposit and/or full pymt to keep the reservation. As I get a bit closer to the date (but well before the 45 days prior to arrival) I will know more if those days are perfect or not... but I want to make sure I'm not going to be penalized or lose my money.

What happens if I pay deposit now or full pymt now and before I get to 45 days prior to arrival I have to cancel the reservations? The representative said I would just be refunded... but I want to make sure.
??

I would call up WDTC to check and make sure. They may not know but it's your best chance of getting an official response.

Is there anyway to change a reservation from having been done with WDWTC to CRO?
Just curious.
I can't very well cancel the reservation and start over- since it was a special rate in some "bounce back" program where you call and make the reservations FROM your room onsite before you leave. (you know- for your next trip back... hence the "bounce back" part) But I really do not like the "terms" such as not being able to change the ressies or cancel (if I should need to for any reason) after getting closer than 45 days prior to arrival. That's really a long time for me to know for SURE absolutely positive that we'd be able to come and at those specific dates...with husband's job, kids, etc.
I'd really prefer a little more leeway with the reservation. I usually do things spur of the moment and I am finding it difficult to stomach being "locked in" on that reservation with risk of costly penalties/fees if they needed to be changed in any way a month and a half before we arrive. Lots of things could happen within that time, especially with children.

???

1). From what I understand from these boards, there is no way to change your reservation from WDTC to CRO. I could be wrong, but (IMO) it wouldn't be in the best interest of WDW to allow that since I'm sure the money coming in from penalties is desired. Whenever I've gone to WDW, I always ask for CRO as soon as I get an operator on the phone so I've always avoided that "45 day out" cancellation/change problem.

2). If you're questioning this "spur of the moment" decision then it's probably best to just get your deposit back now. There are ALWAYS discounts and codes that can be found on Mousesavers.com and/or on the Budget Board and Disney Tips boards.

For me, if I was questioning myself on an impulse buy and had the means to reverse it, I would. But that's just me.

Best of luck! :D

Call and ask. I'm sure they'll give you the correct information.

I would NOT pay in full 45 days out with small kids.....who could get sick at any time. I got a GREAT rate last year w/ mousesavers.com(which is sometimes put on this board also) I just paid one night ahead of time and paid my balance at check-in...thatway if anything would "happen' to cause cancellation,we were only out one night's cost.
