We like going to DL in September when the crowds are low and the wheather is still nice (actually, it was a little too nice this year; 102 degrees!). I just want to make sure (since I'm bringing my sister's family) that the last week in September (Sept 24-Oct1) will still be a nice quiet time to go. I'm a little nervous because of all the threads about how busy October is getting. There aren't any other random events I've forgotten to factor in are there?

We went this past Sept. the 20th-22nd. It happened to be the weekend that Haunted Holiday Mansion opened and it was really crowded. Thurs was nice but Friday all the way thru Sat. night was super busy. We tried to just go on the rides that had 10 min or less.

Also, we left the park around 3:00 and went back to the hotel for a few hours to swim and eat dinner. Then returned to the park at 6:00 or so and stayed until close. That seemed to help.

Just be prepared if it happens to be the opening of the Haunted Mansion Holiday version.

We were in the parks Sept 23-26 and it was fabulous! Weather was perfect and the crowds weren't bad at all. We walked on to POTC and HM, Indiana Jones (5 min), Space Mtn (maybe 5 min), Soarin (5 min). I mean practically no lines at all on the big rides. Of course FL was a different story, while not bad at all, it definately filled up quickly.

I am anxious to return this year for Mickey's Halloween Treat, and would like to go closer to halloween, but the October reports scare me! So, it looks like we'll be headed back at the end of September again.
