We just dropped our bags in room 2700 at RPR, after leaving the AB-FAB DIS-CON II get together over at WDW.

We'll be here through the week. Look for us in the parks.

And if there's anything you'd like us to check on, let us know. No promises (we've got TONS to do, much of it having nothing to do with UO), but we'll try to accommodate you.

Can you please give us the weather forecast for this weekend coming up. We will be up there friday thru sunday and I am seeing rain for all weekend in south florida. Also, our paper said it would rain alot all week up in orlando. I hope not.
TIA

We'll be there in 10 days and I'm looking for good room selections.I'd like to be able to request a specific area to stay in. What rooms are closest to the main lobby? To the pool?To the boats?

Hope you're having a great time!

Kelly, I need to know that I won't be deprived by going standard this summer instead of club. Hopefully you'll come back and say that us standard level folks will still enjoy a fine degree of luxury!

The rooms are identical to those in club level. So you will just miss out on the royal lounge ammenities. Sometimes I feel like all I do is rush back for them anyway when staying on club level.

Weather: In a worde, it sucks. It rained heavily all day Monday. Molre today (Tuesday). Then it clears up a bit until the rain returns on Friday. Saturday is looking iffy, but rain will probably let up.

Rooms: The lower the room number, the closer to the elevators, which are at one end of each Y-shaped wing. The first number of a room indicates which of the three towers it's in. The second number is the floor and the third and fourth numbers are the specific room. So, room 2734 is on the seventh floor of Tower 2.

Towers 1 and 3 are closest to the pool and the parks. Club level is in Tower 3 only. Unfortunately, you don't have a lot of control over room assignment. Best you can do is make a request at check-in and hope for the best.

Robin, sorry you couldn't make it to DIS-CON. I was looking forward to finally meeting you.

Kelly,

Thanks for the room info. How many floors does each tower have?
Now do you think you can do something about the weather?LOL

Kelly -
I was wondering how you compare RPR to the WDW deluxe resorts. I'm planning 6 days at either YC or Dolphin, followed by 5 at RPR - Are the levels pretty comparable? Even tho RPR is the cheapest of the Universal Resorts, it looks like it would fall into the Deluxe level at WDW....am I a victim of good advertising to think this? :p

Kelly, can you buy 2 day hopper park tickets at the hotel?

PS I just ordered your book!

Hope the weather improves for you. Have fun anyway!!:D

Thanks for the updates there Kelly! Comin' there Sat. just for the week-end.
Wanna water-cannon duel by the pool Sat. nite?

(You gave your room #, and no one has sent you 25 pizzas yet?!)
Hope the weather is gettin' nicer for ya'll!
Jim

Kelly,

I have been trying since August to get an e-mail address or phone number for the manager of the RPR or to their corporate office. Can you get that info for me?

Thanks

I'm not that familiar with the Disney resorts. I stayed at the Contemporary years ago and, if I'm remembering correctly, RPR is about on a par with that property (no monorail, though).

I recently stayed at the Swan and I prefer RPR to that, although my wife preferred the Swan's linens and brighter room lighting.

One thing I can say about RPR is that there are no double sinks. A friend who is a Disney regular won't stay in a hotel that doesn't have double sinks!
