...from Disneyland and I'm exhausted. Yesterday, my friends took me up to Anaheim for a Christmas present and we had the time of our lives. Mind you, Disneyland was full up to capacity and it was one of those days where they stopped selling tickets for Disneyland, instead diverting everyone to the California Adventure. Why it was happening on the 28th, and on a Wednesday...I have no idea. And it was even really cloudy and gloomy. We had a great time though.
We were only able to hit 13 rides yesterday, and we were there from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM. To give you an idea about how many people there were...when we got our Space Mountain FastPasses at 10:00, right after we got into the park, we got a 4:55 PM return time. (Which changed from 4:15 PM, when we got into the FastPass distribution line!)
Everything at Disneyland was wonderful though. We were extremely impressed by all the holiday decorations...and especially the IASMH projections at night.
They were awe inspiring. Add Dole Whips, the Tiki Room, getting absolutely drenched on Splash Mountain in 55 degree weather, waiting 6 hours to use Space Mountain FPs, the BEST Mad Tea Party pictures ever taken, and two of the best friends I have ever had. I had a complete blast!
Oh yes...about VMK. I brought all the quests (and the answers so I didn't have to waste my friends time
) and finally turned them in after we rode Space Mountain. I got all the items from the quests...plus the "tour" package of items. In all a lovely package...I'm afraid I lost out on one set of Holiday Tour cards, but I can't complain. That lonely Innoventions CM was swamped by people asking about the nearest restroom, nearest "food place," and all that yada yada. BTW, if anyone out here reading is that family I met and we discussed being in DCA for the 50th sleepover, Hi!
It was nice to meet you!
In all a wonderful day. What the 50th Anniversary day meant to me as a celebration of family...December 28th celebrated friendship in its best possible meaning!
