Just called MS -they said BLT ressies down all day?

Hi I called MS at 9:00am today to book at my 7 month window. The rep said I can book you anywhere but BLT since the system is currently down for BLT only. "Call back in 1 hour". I called back (got the same rep) who said " yeah now they are telling me we don't know when we can book BLT so you may have to call back tonight or tommorrow"?



Has anyone experienced this?

This is just a guess but perhaps they are adding more inventory due to declaring additional units at BLT. If so, that's a good thing (more availability). They may even be trying to satisfy wait lists first before taking new reservations for the additional inventory. Again, I'm just speculating here.

Try again in an hour in case things go more quickly than planned.

Another guess is that they are re-classifying the room views.

Disney has stated that they agree that several resorts were over zealous with the assignments. IMHO Guests shouldn't have to be on the balcony to see the MK in a MK view room.

Wouldn't that be nice (although when we bought in -- when my Guide was in full salesman mode and ready to offer the world -- we were specifically told that any view that had part of the lake was classified as a lake view, and any part of a view that had part of MK was classified as a MK view). BUT, it would be nice to be able to guarantee awesome MK views, and, as someone who doesn't mind standard views, I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more standard view options. Guess we'll find out soon.

So you might get "bonus" standard views that had a somewhat obstructed MK view? That would be sweet.

I had a phone call with a waitlist come through last night which is only five nights out from my arrival. I wondered if they had released more inventory.

I would think a reservation was cancelled so your wait list came through. Congratulations! BTW, the last declaration for BLT was recorded in early April 2010. And per wdrl there are so many outstanding points available for BLT sales that it is highly unlikely that another declaration would be happening soon. http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=36877987&postcount=174 And a declaration is how extra inventory is released.
