Just called CRO Thanksgiving week sold-out! even rack rate!

Well, here's the thing........ thrilled to get ASMU for $49 for the week of Thanksgiving. Always stay deluxe, but told myself, this time, we would do the value thing and like it!! Welll... other half took one look at the pics of ASMU that WDW sent (you know, one of those mailers they send out) and he quickly handed me his credit card to see if we could switch to AKL or WL for the last few days of our trip.. (6 yr old and i drive down early, let him work and then he flies down on Southwest from Bhm cheap!!). She and i are fine with ASMU (I am ready to try a value, especially in winter when we don't live at the pool). He is just a real outdoorsman, and loves, loves, loves AKL!! (likes WL 2nd best). I think it was just the giant cowby boots and the busy decor!! that scared him.... So I call this morning and the system is down. When i was called back at lunchtime, the CRO agent told me not only no AP rates at all for my time frame (11/24-27), but that no rack rates coming up either...... she said to call back 5 days out when folks have to meet there cancellation date.... anyone ever try it for a really busy time and get in with ap discount? thanks!!

Did you try the Swan or Dolphin if you can't get AKL or WL. Great location and nice hotels. We got those last year for $149 a night Thanksgiving week. Good luck!
