We were given wrong information now we are stuck in vacation disappointment!!! We were told that Disney had everything up and running for the holidays by NOV 10 so armed with the free dining pin we thanked our lucky stars and booked. We now know that is not the case and half the activities we had planned are no longer an option. I am so upset what do we do now. I am a list maker and when things go awry I have a hard time moving on. My kids will still have fun and my go with the flow husband is like we'll make do but, I am sad about the fact I am missing theses things. All my research and effort to plan our dream vacation now feels like a slot something in its place I am mourning the loss of my vacation and resenting the we'll figure it out mediocre substitute.

You just have to remember your going to the greatest place on earth, even if some things are closed. There is so MUCH to do, you'll have a great time. Oh, and welcome!

None of the holiday stuff you're talking about will be in place.

Yet somehow I can't imagine thinking of our vaction as needing a "mediocre subsitute" for anything. (And,no, we didn't get free dining.)

I think it's all a matter of outlook.

Decided to make the most of it. I talked to a very helpful CM named Taladea and let me tell you she was great!!!! I will ever be greatful to this wise and friendly cast member who helped me find lots of ideas to put in place of the things we won't get to see. So eeyore has found her tail so to speak!

We have 16 days to go and I am itching to call my dining reservations extra fun stuff is all 106 days out hurry up August 15 will ya!!! MY kids are excited about the character meals but, as Aug 15 looms closer the dreaded Aug 18 back to school is getting too close for comfortLOL
