Im so excited. I just bought my plane tickets. Prices are going up due to "gas surcharges". If I would have called literally 5 seconds later I would have had to pay about 70 more per ticket. the girl was telling me her computer was "doing something screwy" and it seems they were upping the prices as she was booking my flights. whew!! called just in time. I cant wait to go. How do you get those countdown clocks on your messages? thanks.

Hi,
Great going on the purchase! If you don't mind me asking, how much and from which airport?

Here's the link to the Countdown instructions. If your having trouble in getting it to work, try visiting the Techincal Support Board, as there is a helpful post there.

We will be flying out of Traverse City, Mich and changing planes in Detroit before landing in orlando. 288 per person, including tax round trip. There are 5 of us going, me, my 2 daughters and my parents. I think I am the most excited out of all of us. my dad has never been to disney and my mom hasnt been there since I was 5 (30 yrs ago). When I called to get my tickets and told the person on the phone I wanted to fly to orlando she said "tired of the cold weather". It is so cold here, 7 degrees above 0, it will be dropping below zero tonight. again. Of course it wont be this cold come May. Or at least I hope not. Can you tell Im excited?

I picked up my plane tickets on SWA April 17-24 and paid $264 out of DTW back on Dec 20. I can't believe they are well over $500 + now!!!!

I bought our tickets back in January for a Nov/Dec trip from Boston for $181 each (my husband thought I should wait).

I checked prices yesterday and that same non-stop flight is now $380!!!!!!!!!!

What's up??

I guess these days, if you see a fare that's reasonable, better jump on it!

In late December, I purchased airfare for our trip in May. The fare dropped to $171 (total, non-stop from Atlantic City), and I jumped on it.
Just for fun, I've been checking to see how high it is now, and the fare is up to $210!

Evening 232 days in advance, checked Delta BOS-MCO for some chosen dates and flights around Thanksgiving, lowest fares around $200. already gone, round trip about $350. Did not book. (Apparently seats came available around 6 PM, 4 hours before I logged on)

About a week later, mid Jan. at Disney Quest, used one of the internet stations and saw on The Dis Forums a note about Delta changing from 737 planes to 757's.

Went to Delta web site and saw new allotment of cheap seats ($220.) for my chosen dates.

Disney Quest stations wouldn't let me book! (certain security and anti-pornography features built in)

Ran upstairs to pay phone and called Delta. Seats still available!. Made booking for the chosen late November flights for $220.

Went back to internet station. Did some experimenting and found three of the cheapest seats left.

Next day, came back to Disney Quest. Cheapest seats were gone. (One nice thing about premium annual passes is being able to go into water parks or Disney Quest for numerous short visits.)

Whew!

Hopefully this ressie will stay intact as Delta's new Song airline takes over these flights.

(Feb. 15, my chosen dates and flights in Nov. command $555. It is possible that when Song's booking starts ca. March 31 another allotment of cheap seats might appear on all flights.)

(Interested in staying at Pop Century this November if that is open.)

My mom said I should wait to buy tickets, she heard somewhere that if we go to war with Iraq then the price of tickets would drop. I told her I thought they might go up because of the rising gas prices. turns out I was right.
