Just Bought DVC

We finally bought into DVC!!! We bought into BWV. My question is: We are probably going to have access to our points in Sept. (closing early August), what are our chances of getting a studio at BWV for late May 2015?

You are going to love it!!! It seems like you should have a good chance of getting what you want in May 2015. You'll just have to try and see.
If BW doesn't come through there will be other amazing properties to go to. That is the very best thing about DVC.

It's probably more of a question of view/booking category than anything. That will put you at about the 8-9 month mark, which is still in 11-7 month booking priority window, but there is the chance that standard views will be gone leaving you with the Pool/Garden view which is great, just costs a few more points.

preferred pool/garden should be available, if you are planning on a studio or 1 bdrm.
preferred BW (same amount of points as P/G - but one of, if not the, best view on property ) and standard are unlikely, but might be a night here and there.
(P/G view is about 60% of resort, SView and BWView are about 20% each).


if you do get P/G view, make sure to waitlist BW view - it's worth every point, and more

I suspect the OP bought resale because if you buy directly from Disney you can make a reservation within 24 hours or so of paying your deposit. Direct purchasers do not have to wait until closing to make their first reservation, they just have to wait for their account to be set up and their points to be loaded and that happens very quickly (usually within 24 hours) after you pay the deposit.
