DH is travelling for work on Monday (President's day) and will be staying right on Harbor Blvd, working a few miles away. He has conveniently booked travel for early Monday morning, and won't be in the office until Tuesday. He say's he is fine with just hanging around DTD. But he LOVES DLR! So I went ahead and bought him a 1 day ticket. Will presidents day be super busy? Our kids don't have it off school, but not sure about locals???

I'm trying really really hard not to come up with an itinerary for him, and just let him wing it...I always have such a plan for us to follow, he may be lost without my wisdom!;)

Sounds like a great idea, which park do you think he will pick or did you get him a PH?

i dont think it will be that busy people will be leaving and going home that day i could be wrong but memorial day has been good day to go now the weekend is a differnt story

I just bought him a 1 park ticket....I'm positive he will choose the DL side. Nothing like walking down Main Street!! I'm slightly jealous...but I'm excited that he will get to go in for the day. Even if it's so busy he can't ride much, he'll just be happy to take in the atmosphere (and have a Churro of course).

If you know DL for sure write him an itinerary with a reminder to use FP at the top. Little secrets/special places to check out. Some clues to find hidden Mickeys. Most importantly some treats to bring home for you to enjoy.

If possible DCA ,then you will have to do an itinerary for there as well!

Wait... Is he going by himself? Get him a park hopper and tell him about the single rider lines! DCA has some rides that are great for single riders TOT, Screamin etc...

THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE FOR SOMEONE TRAVELING SOLO!

I use the Single Rider Line all of the time. Tell your DH to go to the CM at the front of the following rides and ask for a Single Rider Pass. He'll get to go in the exit and bypass almost all those waiting in line.

There's no Single Rider for Tower of Terror, unfortunately, but the following rides at Disneyland and DCA currently offer single rider:

Disneyland:
Splash Mountain (though it will be closed during his trip)
Indiana Jones

DCA:
California Screamin'
Soarin' over California
Grizzly River Run
(Mulholland Madness did, but now it's closed and I'm not sure about when it reopens)

Ohhh, Thanks for the tip on the Single rider lines. We have always gone as a family, so no need for single riders. I will come up with at least a general itinerary for him, since it will likely be so busy. He'll be sad to hear the Splash will be down, one of his favorites! I gave him his ticket printout when he got home, and he was pretty happy. He said he really didn't need to go, but I think he just feels guilty about going without the kids and me.

Tell him that shopping on mainstreet for souveniers to bring home should alleviate that guilt.
