Well, I bit the bullet and bought a Maclaren Triumph for our DS3. He's 40" tall and 42lbs and this seemed to be our best option. I decided against using the park strollers because I wanted to use it for other day trips as well (sea world, busch gardens, etc.) It was a little pricey at $119, and I bought it online, so I have not tested it in person. I'm a little nervous so if anyone has any experience with Maclaren please share!

My wife and I bought the Volo over the weekend for our DS2. The Triumph is really nice just a little heavier than I wanted. The Triumph should be really easy folding up to get on and off the Monorail, Boat or Bus. Our little guy looks real comfy sitting in his Volo. We test drove about 5 different strollers at Babies R Us and we liked the Maclarens the best. But you're right, it did cause some sticker shock. They are rated up to 55lbs so you should get a least another year of use. I like how the manual refers to the stroller as a Vehicle.
LOL :)

You won't regret it! We bought 2 Mac Triumphs about 3 years ago to bring to Disney and they're still going strong. They are hands down my favorite strollers -- and I've had quite a few! It's light, easy to manuver and my kids think they're very comfy! We loved thenm so much that when I found out we were having #4 we bought a Mac double.

You are going to be really happy with your new stroller!:thumbsup2

I bought a volo for our trip last Sept. for my dd4 to use. She is kind of on the big side for her age and just isn't up to walking yet. Even with a larger kid the thing pushes so easily!!!!

I'm like you though. I thought if I was going to spend $100 renting, I wanted to be able to push it to the bus and use it at our local zoo and around town.

We bought the Mac Triumph for DS for our trip last year and we love it. You will not be disappointed. It folds so easily and the basket underneath held 2 kids jackets and mine. I love that it reclines when DS fell asleep. We will be taking it on its 3rd trip to WDW next month.

I bought a Mac quest a month ago and I love it! You will be happy with your stroller I am sure. They are well worth the cost in my mind!!

I bought a mac quest for DS 3 1/2 and 36 lbs. We LOVE it! I have had 5 strollers previously and at the time loved each, but he was just getting too heavy, this is the BEST option I think. He is 42 inches and he fits great!

It is a great stroller...just wish I found out about them a few kids earlier!! So far we have 2 trips to WDW under our belt w/ours and it really does push like a dream, even w/a 50 pounder!! Another great feature is the rain hood -- even though I had to figure out how to put it on at WDW by looking at all the other Maclarens!! Good thing it is the unofficial stroller of Disney or that hood could have been on sideways and upside down! Have a great trip!
