Just Booked with Maingate Vacation Rentals

Has anyone else used them? I would love to hear your experiances.

They offer a discount with the orlando Magic Card so I got a 3 bed HOUSE for $69 a night and no deposit . (deposits kind of freak me out, I never expect to get them back).

I have been going worrying about accomodations. Finding a place that is clean safe and close to Disney is harder then it sounds thats for sure. And my DD has Asthma so i need a place that isnt growing mold and dust bunnies. I dont mind cleaning up after ourselves. I would do it anyway. We usually dont like house keeping coming in our room anyway.

I have not heard of that company - but that may not mean anything.

I did have a look at their website and I can't find any information on the homes that they rent. If I was looking for a home near to Disney and had specific requirements I would want to know exactly where I was staying and what I was getting for my money.

I called and talked to "Erin" I asked lots of questions and she answered them all to my satisfaction. I checked with BBB and they have only seen one complaint and it was reslove.

last year we rented a beatiful 3 bedroom,3 bath condo at Windsor Hills for $89a night. The pool there was equal to any at Disney (expect for beach club but not much can beat a sand bottom). You rent directly from the owners and the selection ranges from 3 bedroom condos to 5 bedroom homes with a pool. It is also no more than 5 minutes to any of the parks! I am a disney snob and really love staying on site but with kids the extra space and washer/dryer was great! Plus, they each had their own room so bedtime was relaxing! Beware, if you do send an inquiry be prepared to get lots of responses and make sure you take your time going through them.

avic, as I suggested to you elsewhere, unless you can be told, in writing, the specific house you'll be renting, I would look elsewhere. There are a lot of homes out there, and only some of them are what I would call "close".
