Just Booked This Morning! Max Days Out!

I just booked 11/26/2017 ~ 12/2/2017 (7D/6N) Standard Room Poly! Now only have to wait 490+ days...

We're going over Thanksgiving week 2017; didn't book yet- but will probably by then end of the week. Trying to decide between staying the full time at The Poly (which we love! ) or doing a split stay for the very 1st time to get to try a new resort and our beloved Poly.

I think our dates may be 11/19 - 11/25 or 11/26. We're trying to plan around ds's school schedule (which we don't have yet- hopefully will get w/in the next week or so) and when airfare prices will be best, lol... It's like a big puzzle trying to fit everything together.

We were there last year for Thanksgiving & LOVED it!! We have only been to Disney twice - 11/ 13 & 11/15. 1st time we stayed at the Poly; 2nd time BC. We liked BC but Loved the Poly! Do you know where you'll be staying? It's so long away but I love the planning! If I'm lucky & can save enough $, maybe we can do a short trip before then too! Neither my husband nor myself went as children- but we're making up for it now! Unfortunately I think I've (and ds!) become a little obsessed! lol

We were there the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2014. Trip report in my signature. The decorations were pretty amazing. We fell in love with Poly when we were at Ohana last time. We are staying at Poly this time but at the cost of not flying. I drove through the night the way down there. I will not be doing that again.

You'll LOVE the Poly!! It's such a beautiful resort. The Beach Club was really nice, but we found ourselves missing The Poly, the monorail and the whole feel of MK area.

I grew up watching the Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday night We watched Walt talk about building his beloved WDW. It wasn't until I had kids of my own that I was able to fulfill a childhood dream of visiting Disney World. When our kids were young we went every 2 years but now my youngest attends college in Florida we visit every Thanksgiving and March during her Spring Break. Yes I am obsessed with all things Disney and proud to admit it

This year we're staying at the AKL with free dining. Not sure about next November all the resorts have their charm I think it will depend on the discounts/ promotions. The Poly is amazing we have stayed there many times and love it. One of the best parts is the planning have fun

I just booked a Garden Wing Standard View at the Contemporary! November 25- December 2, 2017! We are 489 days out! We just got back a week ago from an amazing trip at BWV, but wanted to try a MK resort this time and the kids kept pointing out the Contemporary. I am excited that we are going to be going at a cooler time! Hoping that crowds won't be too bad since we will be arriving the Saturday after Thanksgiving and won't do our first park day until Sunday. As of right now we are driving from Iowa, so hoping for good weather!

We're going for Thanksgiving 2017, too! We were there last Thanksgiving (2015) - we picked then for the same reason, minimizing time off from school for ds (only had to miss 1.5 days). We LOVED it at Thanksgiving!! We can't wait to back at the same time next year. I really, really want to book soon. We didn't get our school calendar yet- the school packet's supposed to be here by Monday or Tuesday- once I get our days off calendar I can book our trip dates I was really nervous last year going at holiday time- reading about crowds & such- but we didn't think it was bad at all - and we even spent Thanksgiving Day at MK and had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. It was a great trip. I hope you love Thanksgiving at WDW as much as we did!
