My mom and I just booked the Boardwalk Villas for the first for our upcoming trip in May following our cruise on the Dream. Woo Hoo!!! :cool1:

We booked a 1 bedroom with a boardwalk view - any tips from someone who has stayed here before? We have stayed at Saratoga and BLT so looking forward to trying somewhere new (well, new to us).

Thanks,

meg

You'll love it. I booked today for OCTOBER and could not get a Boardwalk view! One night out of 5 was not available. You're very fortunate. Enjoy.

BW is terrific.

Hi Kath816 - I see you are not too far from me in NJ. :thumbsup2

I'm really excited to finally stay at the BWV - when I use to sell Disney vacations I got to take a course for Disney - the College of Disney Knowledge - LOL. Anyway - the awesome part was we got to go to WDW and learn all about the hotels and the one timeshare we got to see was the BWVs (this was 1998 - whao that was a long time ago :scared1:). I loved the place and hoped to stay there one day so it only took 13 years. LOL :rotfl:

WOW - October and you couldn't get it! I do feel lucky! Sorry that you couldn't get the view you wanted. Is this you home resort? October is very popular though with the Food and Wine festival so maybe that is why you had problems.

We stayed in a studio at BWV for the first time this year. We had a preferred view and lucked out getting the Village Green. Be sure and watch for the MK fireworks over the top of BCV. We had a great view for those. It was fun each night to sit out on the balcony and do some people watching. And if you are early risers it's nice to slip down to the BW Bakery and have a little breakfast while you watch things come to life.

We stayed in 3011 and it was a great 1br with boardwalk view.
HUGE Balcony!
The room above us on the 4th floor, litterally their balcony was about a 1/3 of ours.

Ask for that room.

Wow, did you book at the 11 month window and still not be able to get your choice of room?

Thanks for the tip on room 3011 - will see if I can put in for it. :goodvibes

I got 4011 one time and it was small. The balcony did not open from the living room, just the bedroom. Also had 2011 one time, that had a huge balcony but was noisy, it was June and alot of people stayed out late on the boardwalk talking and carrying on.

A friend got 3011 recently, he just requested large balcony rather than a specific #. We were in 3009, which was around the corner in the Crest O the Wave section. We had 2 small balconies.

I always request top floor but most times get 3 or 4. My biggest fear is getting one of those first floor rooms right on the boardwalk, the old sales models.

Kath816 - did you waitlist? Hopefully it will open up. I always arrive on a Saturday and I think that helps, more people check-in on Sunday for the lower points.

Well we had already put in for a high floor - how many floors are there at the boardwalk (not even sure)? Guess we'll have to call back and add a request for a large balcony. ;)

Thanks for the tips guys.
