We just booked our first cruise!!! How's that for a great day-after-Christmas present? :p

We decided to go with the 7-Night even though we're first timers since we wanted to have some sense of relaxation and figured we'd be running around trying to do too much on a three or four night. Of course, that'll probably happen on the 7-night anyway  I just couldn't pass up the thought of a champagne brunch and high tea at Palo's as well as the spiffy-sounding formal nights.

It will be myself and my DF and DM. I've already warned them that we may become "cruise people" if this trip is as wonderful as I think it's going to be! Thank you to everyone out there for all of the help you give. It's just extraordinary!

Lucky you! What a nice way to cap off the holiday season. I have been on a 3 day and a 4 day cruise - definitely preferred the 4 day because the 3 day was sort of hectic. Next time I hope to do a seven day - I can imagine that it would be the perfect blend of being able to really explore/enjoy the ship, as well as spend hours in our favorite quiet spots (verandah, blue deck chairs, etc.) Have fun planning this trip!!!

NejTheLion,

We are booked on that cruise. This will be our first 7 day after two 4 day cruises on the Wonder. The first two were great and we have high hopes for #3!

My Mom (74), my DS (7) and I (47) will be on that cruise also. It's wonderful to have so many days at sea - so peaceful and relaxing.
Palo brunch is spectacular - don't miss it for anything!
And Vista Spa is fantastic (it's our favorite place).

Definatly the way to go!!! I've just been on the seven day cruise and cannot imagine how you guys could have left after only 3 or 4 days!!!! The seven day is spectacular! Have an awsome time!!

Alberta - seeing us get off the ship after only a 3 or a 4 night cruise is not a pretty sight!

In fact, even after seven nights, it tends to get a little UGLY!

Congrats, Nejthelion! We're on that cruise, too. (DH 36, Self 41 and DS 11). We booked it last year while we were on our first-ever cruise -- a 3 day Wonder which was just too short! We are getting SO excited!

WElcome northernmouse!
Our first cruise was also a 3 Night Wonder - combined with 4 nights at Contemporary. We agreed, it was tooooo short and we had a much better time on the ship than at the parks. My son was only 5, the first time we sailed and now he doesn't want to do anything else.
We did a 3 Night Polynesian followed by a 4 Night Wonder in early December and he COMPLAINED all the time that he just wanted to be back on the ship! We did all 4 parks and he made all the choices of where to go and what to do - but still the Ship won out!
Smart kid!

It's getting close and I am tempted to start packing, but last time I packed early, I ended up with 6 pairs of shoes. Now tell me, who but Imelda Marcos would take that many shoes?! I forgot what I packed and kept stuffing and stuffing my suitcases. NEVERMORE!
From now on, it's light and only as necessary!

Yay! I've been wondering if this cruise was going to have less DISers than I typically read about. There must be others in hiding somewhere!!

Just received our confirmation documents from DVC. Not quite as exciting as getting the excursion packet or the official cruise docs, but hey, it's something:)

As an added bonus yesterday, the cruise video finally arrived - it took longer than six weeks so I was really starting to wonder! Ah, I may end up watching that whenever I need a little boost over the next few months.

Made it under 4 months - 120 days!! Can't wait until the next big milestone!

I didn't discover the Board until after our 2nd cruise - then I wondered how I did without it!

We might not have many DIS'er's but we will still have a grand time together!

Has anyone started packing? Dieting? Visiting Dave or Barb's site to see the activities/menu?!

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have already decided what I want from each menu!! They might "fool" me and change the menu but I'm ready!

I can taste the risotto already! (That's usually at lunch at Lumiere's!)
