:cool1: While strolling through Epcot on the last day of our recent trip my DH and I were lamenting over our APs expiring in November and our next trip to WDW being an unbelievable 18 months away.

We jokingly said "let's go back this summer and tap out those APs". Then we stopped laughing...looked at each other....and said "hey, why not"!!!!

Airfare isn't great...but with our room covered by points that we would have banked if not used....and our APs still active for all four of us. Heck! Why not?!

We booked a studio at OKW for 5 nights beginning Aug. 31st. :cool1: I'm just happy and surprised there was something available this close? We're closing in on the 90 day mark!!! I guess a lot of people are staying away due to the time of year (heat, humidity and threat of hurricanes). But it is still a holiday weekend :confused3 .

I feel a bit spontaneous :Pinkbounc . Well....spontaneous for me since I'm an uber-planner who has my next 3 years of vacation plans set already! LOL.

My DH, myself, DSis and DBIL will be there for Labor Day also. We are staying at SSR. Can't wait. Just hope the hurricanes stay away. This is our first trip in September. We've been there in October and November, but never September. I know it will be hot, but that is what the pools and air-conditioning are for, right?

We have done Labor Day week a couple of times. It is extrememly hot then, but the crowds were light. The only crowds we saw were at MK on Sunday and Monday.

Thank goodness the crowds should be light! Thanks for the info Diane!

We'll definitely be planning to "take it easy" on this trip. Lots of swimming time and rests with the heat! Possibly try to head over to Typhoon Lagoon if we can upgrade our APs to PAPs. :goodvibes

Btrim...I agree...for all of Florida's sake I sure hope those hurricanes stay away this year. I have to say that we hesitated a bit about booking b/c of the possibility but I guess we can't live in fear of them?! If Mother Nature decides to play rough again we'll just have to deal with it. But boy...Florida really deserves a break this year! :guilty:

Really, are we coming up to the 90 day mark? We'll be at the Dolphin on Sept. 3rd, the night before the Members Cruise! We intend to head to TL during the day, too!

Bobbi :flower:

The last time we did that time of year was 2003, and the rains were heavy and the heat high, but like you said, with lots of breaks it was bearable.

Labor day week is my favorite time to go. This year will be our third time there that week. The crowds are VERY light. It helps with the heat because you're not crammed together. Also, you can see alot in a short period of time, so breaks come easy :)
