Just booked MCO Hyatt on Hotwire for $24!!!

Well, had the rate be right, I would have made the same mistake. The 3 1/2* i've been looking at doesn't have a tennis nearby icon.

It's interesting to see how the list of available hotels change. I've looked about 9 or 10 times today (really, I'm not addicted) and this list goes anywhere from 3 to 6 hotels. Prices change too.

I've been at work all day so imagine my surprise and happiness to come home and find out how many of you also got this great deal!!! Isn't just an amazing feeling to get a deal like that? I feel like I won the lottery. I'm a Dental Hygienist, and I was compelled to tell my patients about this all day long.

Needless to say.. I'm very excited for everyone, and glad I could spread the word.

:faint: I just logged on to ask if anyone has seen low rates for the Hyatt!!!! I am so bummed.

Congrats to all who were able to take advantage of the deal. :cool1:

Thanks IFlossU for the information! I have wanted to try this option when we cruise, and we finally get to see what this hotel is like!

I just called to check on my reservation to make sure they would put us in a room with 2 beds (we brings our kids with us). They were very nice and noted the need for 2 beds on our reservation.
(just wanted to mention that in case anyone else needed to call for that same reason).

:teeth: Yes, I called, too. I need 2 beds in each room and as close together as possible. They noted the reservation.

Could someone please post the ph. number of Hyatt? I'm at work, reservations papers are at home but after reading the other posts I better call and ask for room for 4 also. Thanks.

The phone number is:

(407) 825-1234

But I did have to give them my reservation number when I called. Maybe they can look it up for you, I'm not sure. Just wanted to mention that before you called.

too bad I missed it for my BIL but I thought I'd let you know that for our time (Nov 29) the rate has dropped to $119.

i must be doing something wrong. What city did you search under? I came up with $113 for 3/20! Of course, I am on some pretty good flu medicine.

Does anyone know if the Hotwire Strategy mentioned in this thread for the MCO Hyatt is still current. I just searched and couldn't find any hotel that matched all of the icons mentioned.

If you read the recent comments re Hotwire at www.biddingfortravel.com then you will discover that Hotwire no longer posts all service icons that a hotel may have with each description -- the system deliberately leaves one or more icons out so there is no guarantee re hotel you'll get based just on the appearance of the icons. (Someone did not believe BFT moderator Sheryl's explanation of that and booked on Hotwire believing the icons must indicate a particular hotel -- lo and behold it was another hotel.) Blind booking is part of Hotwire and Priceline's business model; so if you need/want one specific hotel, you should not use Hotwire (or Priceline).

I have checked from time to time to see if it shows up again for friends of ours who are coming with us on our cruise. I haven't seen it any of the times I have checked and I haven't seen anyone else post on this board about getting it again for a low price.

I am watching though, and I hope if anyone gets a good deal they will post on the board. My friends are staying off site now, but another family has decided to come too and they haven't booked a room yet, so maybe they can get a good deal.

Good Luck! I was so thrilled to be able to get in on this deal when it was first posted. I can't wait to try out this hotel.

I would love to get this deal again! I'm looking again for September, so if I see anything, I'll post.

Just like westjones I check hotwire from time to time just to see if that offer, or something that looks like the Hyatt shows up. I have not seen it on there again since that night. I would still check it everyday, you just never know when it could show up. And be sure to look for those specific icons I listed originally. If I saw an offer with those icons again I would definately go for it. That was an amazing deal!!!
