Just booked HRH for Easter 2002

After a wonderful trip 2 weeks ago I could't wait to book for next year. Only rack rates are in the computer so far. $245+tax for 3/29-4/3 and 219+tax for 4/4-4/6. I may have to shorten my stay a little if I can't get a better rate, but for now I have my fingers crossed. Until my last trip I have always stayed on Disney property, but I can't Imagine not going back to the HRH. It was that good. The funny thing is the rack retes I got would be pretty good at Disney over Easter, but the Entertainment rate I got this year has made me greedy.

I tried to make ressies for March 2002 two weeks ago and they wouldn't take them. I'm going to call them now. I hope they will adjust the rate to the Entertainment rate once they have the 2002 rates in the computer. What do you think?

We had the great entertainment card rate over Easter this year, and are playing with the idea of going again, it was that great. Did anyone tell reservations that you have the card, or will you keep calling back?

The agent I spoke to told me to call back for discounts. She said there were no discounts in the system yet. We were there the week berore Easter too at $117.50 entertainment rate for a garden view which was fine. I just thought with so many people learning about the resort on TV and through word of mouth from all of us who loved it, reservations might be hard to get. A HRH employee told me they were completely full at least 2 of the nights I was there this year. I guess I'll need a new Entertainment card by that time anyway.

I tried to book for Feb 2002 today directly with HRH and was told to call back in Sept. Has anyone else been able to book a room for 2002??

Like the posters above, I was able to reserve HRH for April 2002. Booked it last night at $219 for standard room. They said they would adjust the price after Entertainment rates come out at the end of this year.

I'm so glad I've seen this post. I've tried to book the HR for Easter time next year and have been told 3 times to call back August or September. I've found this really hard to believe and that's why I keep calling back. The last time I told the person that I just wanted to reserve a room and that I'd worry about the rate later. I'm a little nevous because the value resorts are already booked at Disney for the 3 days before Easter. So I figure once the Hard Rock opens their reservations up it will fill up quickly. Time for another call.

Since I saw others had gotten their reservations I called back and was able to get 2 rooms March 28th and 29th 2002. No discounts but I don't mind calling back for those. I just wanted to make sure I'd get my rooms. The agent told me that they were just put in the system a day or two ago. Thanks everyone.

I just booked for Jan 2002, pool view $239. Will call back for entertaiment rates later...........just wanted to make sure I have a room as I think this hotel is going to become very popular very fast!

I'm sitting here waiting for next years school calendar to come out so I can book the HRH next Easter. We rarely do a repeat so soon, but the HRH and parks are that good, so I think I better book days now. Guess I can always change them if I have to, as long as there's rooms available.

I think the reason this hotel is getting so popular is because most people who go love it. I already know of three other teacher's and families who are planning to go next Easter based on my report and of course, the pictures. It's hard to keep quiet about this place!

I called the town to get next year's vacation schedule. We were off the week before Easter this year(April 9-13). Next year we are off the week after Easter (April 1-5) If these things were more standard it would be easier to plan. Our family in MA all always have Patriot's week off. The bonus this year is our vacation starts a day early with Good Friday.

I agree with Glory about the HRH and universal being great. I've also been telling everyone how nice it is. Maybe we should stop while there is still room for us.
I never thought I would voluntarily go to Orlando and not stay on Disney Property. Those days are over!!!!
