Just booked HHI for Christmas! Anyone else??

Lisa and I will be spending Christmas at Hilton Head this year....Dec 23-28. We love this resort and are really looking forward to a different sort of holiday.

Although we've never been for that holiday, that sounds really cool. I guess you'll have to post here about how it is. We're usually there for Thanksgiving and the tree's up in Big Murgie's Den. Also, decorations are going up all around the resort. Have fun!

We have been to HHI for xmas week many times..sometimes for 4-5 nights, other times as a stop on the way back from WDW to Boston. It is a great time, but be aware that we have had temperature changes from the extremes of 30 degrees with gloves and hats to high 60's with DS swimming in the main pool..so watch the weather before you leave. Its our relaxing holiday week and love the resort for its rustic beauty. The beach is beautiful to walk anytime of year..we have done kids activities when DS was younger including peppermint ice cream making and "southern" snow ball fights and meet and great with Shadow. Its a quick trip to Beaufort historic area or longer to Savannah for a day trip. Great time to be there..it kind of closes down after Jan1st with many locals "going north to ski".

Thanks for the advice on the weather. We live in Asheville NC and the weather fluctuates dramatically around that time of year in the mountains too.

It is not going to matter one little bit what the weather does....we WILL find something to do. Of course we are hoping for at least one day of swimming weather.
