Have just booked for DLP on the 16th november staying at the sequoia lodge, travelling with leger, on the Eurostar for our daughters 21st birthday:bday: Has anyone else recently stayed there, any comments will be appreciated, also does anyone know the best way to get car parking at the eurostar terminal in ashford?

Great news. Sequoia Lodge is popular with others on the board so I'm sure the evening crowd will join in with comments :goodvibes

Congrats on booking

We are going the same week probably on the 17th or 18th.

Were going either eurostar or tunnel with car not sure yet.

The count down is on.

Woo hoo!!!

:cool1:

Hi,

The Ashford terminal has a massive mutli storey carpark right by the terminal. I think its about £9 a day to park.

I'm off to the Sequoia Lodge next month so I will let you know. I have stayed before but not for a few years now.

Hi there,
We went with Leger via Eurostar in 04 - no problems whatsoever with the trip, we stayed overnight at a Travelodge in Ashford and left our car at the station, parking isn't pre-bookable but the carpark is massive.
Staying at the Sequoia next week, our first time there too, it usually gets very good reviews, I'll let you know.:goodvibes

Hi there,
we stayed there in November last year for the first time and really loved it, it has a great atmosphere when there`s a fire burning and it`s foggy outside. The room was big and nice and I think the theming fits well when it`s winter, I would definitely stay there again.:thumbsup2

hiya
We have just returned from Sequioa Lodge, its alovely hotel.
Its in a beautiful setting and they have a waterfall and beaver dam (although it wasnt working whilst we were there)
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Montana room, which is located in the main building near the shops and concierge.
You will not be dissapointed...hope this helps
Elaine :thumbsup2

HI there, congrats on your booking!

I called a few weeks ago and they said I couldn't book December until June. Maybe I'll call again - just in case it is open now.

Hi!
We just came back from Sequoia Lodge, have a look at Day 2 of my trip report for details of our check-in.

The hotel was great and although Ledger don't do Montana rooms I would recomend nearer the time getting in touch with the hotel direct to see if you can upgrade. You don't want to have to bundle up in November to get your breakfast ;)

I'm sure you'll have a lovely trip!

Congratulations on booking.

We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge for the very first time (previously stayed at Davy Crockett, Santa Fe and Explorers) and it was lovely. We stayed in one of the lodges, very quiet (even in late July) and clean and beautiful surroundings. A lovely walk to the parks and I think we only got the bus once as it just happened to be there whilst we were exploring the grounds! Course we had to do the Minnie train once as well!

Hi,

We stayed at the Sequoia a couple of weeks ago and were happy with it. We were in one of the lodges seperate from the main building, but although it meant wrapping up to walk to breakfast, we were lucky that we had fresh frosty mornings and it was a lovely wander through the woody paths to get there. So don't be too upset if you are not in a Montana room. The rooms are identical other than the Montana rooms being in the main building and having a mini-bar.

I also agree that the walk around the lake, through Disney Village to the parks is lovely. We had no interest in getting the shuttle as it's just as quick to walk!

The only other thing I'd say is try to book your breakfast slot for before 8.30am if you can. From 8.30 onwards it starts to get busy and from 9am it's mobbed. If you arrive after 8.30 you will need to queue for a table even if you are booked, so it's worth getting up a bit early and just enjoying the surrounding area each morning before setting off for the park. Book your breakfast slot at reception.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

hi again folks, just to say thanks alot for all your answers the info you all gave will be most helpful.:cool1:
