Just booked for 2008

Hi everyone, after spending so much time reading this board and others, we have finally decided where to stay in 2008.

Just booked Wilderness Lodge 17-25/10/2008, and it can't come quick enough.

We have been to Disney 3 times previously but this will be our first stay on site, I'm sure it will be all it is made out to be.

I'll be annoying everyone with trivial questions over the coming months................. please be patient

So the hotel is booked, the villa is booked for 2 weeks following, just have to wait for the flights to be released, and the wife can start packing !

I've not made any requests regarding room location as yet, could someone shed any light on how obliging Disney will be over this ? I realise they are only requests, but what are the chances of them happening.

Not sure how obliging Disney are with room requests as we haven't stayed at a Disney yet - next year will be our first too !!

I've always said Disney is wasted on children

We have booked 2 rooms, and although I know they will be on different floors I'm hoping we can at least get the same wings.

I will probably ask for North wing, courtyard view and hope for the best.

You have made a very good choice, i haven't actually stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, but i got married there 2 weeks ago and it is so beautiful, i have the most amazing photo's by the waterfall and the views are spectacular.
Regarding special requests, i didn't make any on booking, but 3 weeks before i actually wrote, yes pen and paper not email, and posted it to the hotel. We stayed at the Pop Century and i asked for 2 interconecting rooms on the ground floor in the 60's block facing the lake, alot to ask i know but i got exactly that and couldn't have been more happy. From advice on here i was told emails can be deleted where as a hard copy in front of them they take more notice of.

I would really like to stay onsite, but with 3 kids there are limited places we can stay. Aaah, life is hard, decisions decisions!!!

We had the same decisions. Next year is a big splurge for us, I hit the big 50 in May, retire from work in the June so we decided to have a bigger than normal holiday. Plus we are treating the wifes parents, so that made 6 people in total.
We already had a villa booked for 2 weeks after our stay in Disney, and I was worried we wouldn't get a DVC 2 bedroomed villa, so opted for 2 rooms.

If you can get one, the deluxe rooms at Wilderness Lodge sleep 6, plus I think the Boardwalk do similar, but without the sitting room.

It is worth looking for rooms at Disney.com as opposed to Disney.co.uk

The British site doesn't give any options to book deluxe rooms/suites
