I just booked a solo trip for Oct 26-28 as I have a few days left a military salute ticket to use. I am a little nervous about going alone, but I know I will be fine. I am staying the CSR which looks beautiful and have booked Ohana and Biergarten as my meals. :cool1: Anyone else out there brave enough to go alone?

I have been several times and I love it alone - but I am an only child, so I have been amusing myself for years!

I always eat at the bar when I can; especially some of the busier restaurants since they have a high turnover for people waiting for tables. You meet so many new people that way.

I love going to the lounge at the WL; it is my fav....I get "dressed up" - my version - and make an evening of it.

I also spend a day touring the resorts and trying out new restaurants.

And one day, I get up super late and then loll around all day to my heart's content. I usually get a meal to go at DTD; take the water taxi back and go to bed early and watch TV.

You get to do whatever you want and I have met some amazing people....

I'm going to move this over to our adult and solo traveller board.

Enjoy your trip. Solo trips are fun. You can do what you want when you want to :)

I just booked my first solo trip in January. I'm a little apprehensive, but I know it will be a blast. Enjoy your trip.

Go! It sounds like a perfect amount of time to enjoy yourself and do what you want. I had a morning to myself at WDW recently and I called my husband to tell him how nice it was and he said he felt bad for me. I just laughed. It's probably one of the most relaxing times I've spent in the park. If I could go for a few days, I would!

Good luck!

I've been lucky enough to have a few days of a couple of trips solo and really love it. In fact at the end of October I'm off again for a week at Disney before DH joins me for another week down in Sarasota.

I love the peace and quite because I have a very busy life and have 5 children (all old enough to leave now!) so it's fantastic to have some 'me' time.

Love wandering the parks without having to worry about what everyone else wants to do - doing just exactly as I please - what a treat.

I tend to have mainly CS meals although will do a couple of buffets - they're easier because you don't have to wait for your order to arrive and it's not unusual to see someone sitting alone whilst the other person is getting their food.

Completely agree! I think most people feel like they are pulled in several different directions in their daily lives so it's nice to go at your own pace in the most magical place on earth.

One of my favorite things to do is to go to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk (duelling piano bar). I go with firends or solo and have a great time either way. The key to having fun solo is to do only what you want ... it's easy once you start.

HAVE FUN!

I'm doing my first solo trip in December but I'll be down with people the same time you are.

What night are you eating at Ohana? We have reservations for the 27th at 7:10pm.

Solo trips sound amazing ! im only a few hours away and am thinking of making a 48 hour Mini Disney Getaway

I am getting ready to book mine for December and I am staying for 2 weeks!!! I can't wait and am soooo excited I don't think I am going to make it till December :-)

Have a great time. :thumbsup2 I did a solo trip in August 2009 for 4 days. I stayed offsite but it was great. I did the activities I wanted, at the pace I wanted. :dance3: Planning another solo trip for 7 days in May. :woohoo: Keep us posted on how it went.

My first solo trip is just days ahead! One week with my sister in law and one week on my own!!!

Hi, San Antonio, from down in the Valley! I've gone solo about 10 times. DH and I have a great arrangement-WE go once a year, and I go twice a year. My "need" for Disney's greater than his. I, too, was a little nervous on my first solo trip-when I had to change planes in Dallas! When I checked in to POR, it was 1:30 am. Bell services offered to take me to my room, but I declined. Dumb me, I thought as I walked thru the dark alone, with shrubs all around me. Suddenly, I heard whispering around the next corner. Oh, Oh!! Then they appeared-2 women in formal gowns and Mickey ears. Now, how scared can you be once you see that?! Since then, I've never had a moment's nervousness about being alone at WDW. Unfortunately, I'll miss you by just a few days-my solo trip ends 10/22. Have fun!

My ressie isn't until 9:45 :scared1:, but hey I made it this week and was glad to get it. I plan on going to the Tambu louge and having a blackberry mojito before dinner, so if you see a chick with brown hair that looks 30 (I have been told I don't look 30 LOL) come say hello!

:goodvibes Lovely!!! You pick a nice resort... and also one of the good times to go solo(esp'ly with the food and wine!!!)... there are a few dis solo thread sprouting here and there for those dates... does not necessarily mean you hook up with them... but would be a nice back up just in case you need a "talk buddy". JUst go, relax and enjoy the moment... what you left behind for a few days will still be there when you get back!!! And being solo gives you the added perk of the single rider and no sharing in the bathroom 1st thing in the morning!!!

Have a magical trip!!! Come back and tell us how it went which in a way we already know how it will go.. IT WILL BE GREAT!!!!:thumbsup2

I am going solo too this month. I will be there for a long weekend, this coming weekend. You will enjoy your solo trip. A friend of mine and I went to Disney for the first time in my adulthood about 8 years ago, and I have been coming back ever since, sometimes with friends, but more often without. I like to sleep in late, go to the pool and read, and then go to the parks in the later afternoon and evening. Don't worry, you will have fun, and I have never felt unsafe. Have fun!

AJay - hope you have a wonderful time! You will enjoy the time alone to be able to experience Disney in your own way. I got to be alone this past December for 4 days before my daughter & GS joined me and I had fun doing things that I like to do that I know others don't (like taking pics).

I'm excited for you - 2 weeks solo (I'm envious!)!! :banana::banana:

If it were my sis-in-law, I'd definitely need a week solo afterwards :lmao: Hope you have a great trip!
